Question
Why do tracks 17-19 have songwriters when it has been confirmed that only three songs will be on the deluxe edition and the remaining tracks are phone memos? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.241.97.50 (talk) 06:00, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- According to her website, the deluxe edition includes three bonus songs PLUS three voice memos. Littlecarmen (talk) 09:57, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Are the voice memos, which Taylor confirmed she recorded on her phone, written by Taylor and people and has it been confirmed they been written by Taylor and other people? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.241.97.50 (talk) 12:24, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- It has not been said who "wrote" the voice memos, but judging from the stories she has told about her getting ideas and immediately recording them into her phone, they were all her own ideas. Littlecarmen (talk) 15:40, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
US deluxe edition to be exclusive to Target.

- The same deluxe version with the same content is being offered in her own store. Littlecarmen (talk) 15:43, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Track listing
I recommend removing that section, or hide, until more information about the new single. I do not see anything that provides that section, which is almost empty and has few references and writers. No better place would be confirmed when all Easy ?.--Damián (talk) 11:55, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Seconded! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.241.97.50 (talk) 12:34, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Songwriters
When I open the iTunes Store entry for 1989 in the column browser view, it lists Swift as the sole composer of all tracks except for "Shake It Off", for which Swift, Martin, and Shellback are listed. Here is a screenshot. Where did the songwriting credits currently shown in the Wikipedia article come from? Littlecarmen (talk)
- Unless there's a source cited, just assume its bullshit. I wouldn't believe the itunes pre-listing either, sounds like a placeholder. Earlier I reverted fake track names including "I knew you were chobble".--Milowent • hasspoken 01:57, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- I've listed Swift as the sole composer for all tracks except "Shake It Off" in the article since that's what the source we're using says. Here is a screenshot of the deluxe edition in the column browser if anyone would like to check. Littlecarmen (talk) 10:30, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Littlecarmen, thanks for doing the change. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 11:59, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- That hardly seems reliable, as she always has [ETA: recently had, based on emilywetta's comment] multiple co-writers, that list is a placeholder. I see someone else has added other authors back in, I don't know from what source, I give up.--Milowent • hasspoken 23:52, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- It's obvious what happened. The original credits were loaded into the iTunes database, and then they realized later everyone could actually see that information, so they removed them. — Status (talk · contribs) 03:18, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- I should point out that while the additional songwriters may have originally been listed, they have not been confirmed. Aside from a brief listing on iTunes, there is no further proof of songwriting credit. Taylor alone is listed as songwriter/composer on all tracks aside from "Shake It Off" which has been confirmed on several sites and by Taylor herself. It should also be noted that Taylor isn't known for having co-writers on her tracks - "Speak Now" was written entirely by Swift. It wasn't until "Red" that she introduced co-writers on almost every track. We should be leaving the songwriting credit as it is listed on iTunes until any other co-writers are confirmed by a credible site or Taylor herself. - emilywetta — Preceding undated comment added 15:39, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Fake tracklist
The tracklist of the album posted is fake; Taylor herself confirmed it on her Tumblr account: http://taylorswift.tumblr.com/post/100293917445/billboard-could-this-be-the-1989-track-list — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.24.100.207 (talk) 14:37, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Target deluxe
We've got this in the article: "a deluxe edition, consisting of three extra songs and three voice memos, will be available exclusively at Target." That makes it sound like the extras are the only thing on this edition, but in fact it has all the standard tracks plus the extras. I had changed this to "a deluxe edition, including three extra songs..." but got reverted. I still like my version better. Kendall-K1 (talk) 23:37, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
'Clean' co-written by Imogen Heap
Swift revealed that the last song on the album was co-written with Imogen Heap on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Here's a source 2601:C:780:234:1179:13E7:EA6F:CDD1 (talk) 04:10, 24 October 2014 (UTC) Done Already done

Track list is incorrect
The track list for the deluxe edition in this article claims track 15 to be "You R In Love" however this is incorrect. Referring to the cited source (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/1989-deluxe/id907104698) it should be "You Are In Love".

Songs and Lyrics
Someone should create a songs and lyrics section like the one for her Speak Now album. It would add a lot to the article. <Cajalden (talk) 21:33, 28 October 2014 (UTC)>
Edit Request November 4, 2014
I would like to add in a note about how a dispute over streaming this album has resulted in Swift pulling her entire catalog from the streaming service Spotify. I was thinking of adding in a note similar to the one I added to the Spotify article:
