The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is an action-puzzle game series, created by Kemco and released on the Nintendo Game Boy. It stars the popular Warner Brothers cartoon character Bugs Bunny.
Trivia: History of Kemco Japan's game changes for the US and Europe
The games that eventually became the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle series for the Nintendo Game Boy (GB) and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) (Nintendo Family Computer, or Famicom, in Japan) originally starred Disney characters in Japan, Mickey Mouse being the prime example. Kemco's and other companies' games starring Disney characters were changed to non-Disney licences when released outside of Japan, specifically in the United States. This is because Capcom had exclusive rights to the Disney property in the US at the time. For release in the US the games were either re-programmed to star non-Disney characters or they were kept the same and instead released by Capcom, Mickey Mousecapade NES (Hudson) and Mickey's Dangerous Chase GB (Kemco) both examples of the latter.
The following are pictures comparing the different releases of various games.

The Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse series split into two separate series in Japan after the second title. Before the Japanese release of Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 3—in order to keep continuity—they re-released Mickey Mouse 1 and 2 as Bugs Bunny Collection, including Super Gameboy capabilities. Europe never received a game titled The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2.
The rest of the Crazy Castle series continued on the Game Boy Color (GBC) and Game Boy Advance (GBA) and was kept the same in all territories.
Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 3 (GBC)
Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 4 (GBC)
Woody Woodpecker Crazy Castle 5 (GBA)
Mickey Mouse 5-Part Series (continued..)
The Japanese Mickey Mouse series continued to become various other things in the US and Europe up until Mickey Mouse V, which wasn't released outside of Japan until 1998 and was re-titled Mickey Mouse Magic Wands to avoid continuity confusion. The US and European versions of Mickey Mouse Magic Wands have added Super Game Boy support.
Kid Klown in Night Mayor World (NES)
Other Games
Mickey's (Dangerous) Chase, also made by Kemco, was released between Mickey Mouse III and IV, but is not considered part of the same series because even the Japanese title screen does not include any numerical reference to its placement amongst the rest of the Kemco Mickey games.
Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular (NES)
Mickey Mousecapade (NES) is an example of a Hudson Soft game released by Capcom in the US due to copyright issues. Despite the title of the game on the US box the title screen in-game only reads "Mickey Mouse."
It should be noted that Snoopy's Magic Show (GB, 1990) was always a Snoopy game.
