#{{user8|వైజాసత్య|Project=te}} I have been an admin in Telugu Wikipedia for 9+ years with 25,00+ edits. Usually write history related articles. Trying to improve several existing articles with reliable sources. I used to have access to several journals while I was in grad-school and miss having reliable sources on hand to write Wikipedia articles. Thanks --[[User:వైజాసత్య|వైజాసత్య]] ([[User talk:వైజాసత్య|talk]]) 03:38, 7 November 2014 (UTC) |

Wikipedia:HighBeam/Nav HighBeam Research is an online, subscription-based search engine for newspapers, magazines, academic journals, newswires, trade magazines and encyclopedias. The site has access to over 80 million articles from 6,500 publications, most of which are not available free elsewhere on the internet. Thousands of new articles are added daily, archives date back over 25 years including trade journal, newspaper articles, and peer-reviewed journals covering a wide range of subjects and industries; and there are tools for finding, saving, organizing, and sharing information as documents. Aside from a free seven-day trial (credit card required), access to HighBeam costs $30 per month or $200 per year for the first year and $300 for subsequent years.
As of March 13, 2012 HighBeam has generously agreed to give free, full-access one-year accounts for Wikipedia editors to use, at the discretion of the community. HighBeam is excited about this and does not expect there to be a shortage of these free, one-year accounts; however, editors will have to have a one-year-old account and 1000 edits in order to qualify for one. At the end of one year, editors who found the resource useful can simply re-apply.

- Jeff in CA (talk · contribs) Since 2005 I have been active in content generation, research and verification. I will use this access primarily to improve content and reference citations in articles concerning and relating to sports history, geography and border studies. I had formerly relied heavily on the lamented Google News Archive. Jeff in CA (talk) 04:58, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Esoglou (talk) 06:04, 6 November 2014 (UTC) This seems to be a very useful tool for getting information in the fields in which I work Esoglou (talk) 06:04, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- M.O.X (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I previously had an account on HighBeam under this username. It was very useful to me when it came to accessing news publications online. James (T • C) • 5:35 PM • 06:35, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Murma174 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I'm admin and bureaucrat on the North Frisian wikpedia and working on historical topics sometimes. --Murma174 (talk) 07:01, 6 November 2014 (UTC)--Murma174 (talk) 07:17, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- MRG90 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I've been an active user since 2011. I have more than 14,000 edits on all the Wikimedia projects. I need this account because I'm active in Did You Know project on fa.wiki (fa:ویکیپدیا:آیا میدانستید که...؟) and I always need to add references to articles (see my 2014 activity: fa:ویکیپدیا:آیا میدانستید که...؟/هفتههای ۲۰۱۴ (میلادی)). I also want to use HighBeam to write good and featured articles on fa.wiki. MRG90 (talk) 07:23, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Church (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I've been an on and of editor and I believe I used to have access to this service. I would much like High Beam to continue my work on NFL Players Articles, primarily Green Bay Packers related. Having Highbeam was very useful and came up with sources much easier then how I normally do it.--Church Talk 07:58, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maadikhah (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) My account was made on Saturday, January 15th in 2011 and I have 4293 edits (Wikipedia.FA's counting. ) or 4499 edits (here. Tool Lab's counting) at my home wiki (Fa.Wikipedia). I'm also a patroller at Farsi Wikipedia and I can use this access to save new low-quality articles which are about to get deleted. I think having this access helps me to improve my contributions a lot; both in starting new semi-good/good/featured articles or in expanding existing articles. Thanks a lot in advance. Maadikhah (talk) 08:28, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Mskyrider (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I've been contributing to Turkish Wikipedia since 2006 with over 30k edits. I would like to use HighBeam access to improve FA class articles by accessing to references. --Mskyrider (talk) 11:38, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- RonnieV (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) - Running randomly through the Dutch Wikipedia, looking for prove for edits that might be right, so saving useful content and edits from deletion. I'm also a member of the Dutch Arbcom. Thanks a lot in advance. RonnieV (talk) 13:28, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Diego Grez (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Used to have access but did not renew because of time, I find this a great tool and would love to have access to it again --Diego Grez (talk) 13:58, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Vchimpanzee (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have close to if not more than 30K edits on English Wikipedia. I had a Highbeam account but apparently have to renew. However, I never actually used the account before because the articles I found were covered by a different HighBeam service. Hopefully that will change.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 14:14, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Gyrofrog (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I had (and used) Highbeam access (via Wikipedia) about 2 years ago, but it expired. I mainly edit within the purview of WP:JAZZ and WP:ETHIOPIA, but sometimes I'll try and attempt to verify an article in any subject area and a relevant source is in Highbeam. Would appreciate access to the data. I don't attend a University, and generally can't visit a public library during its operating hours (assuming they even have Highbeam access). Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:01, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ochiwar (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active editor since last year in Wikiproject Medicine and AfC. Have created a quite a number of articles in my short time here with 3500+ edits and two Good Articles. Also interested in topics concerning Nigeria, Africa and the Commonwealth. Access would help in sourcing references Ochiwar (talk) 17:18, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Bloom6132 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active since 2010 and have made 13,700+ edits and 10 good articles. The topics I work on are mainly on baseball, cathedrals, Hong Kong, Vancouver/Canada, and national symbols. Having access to news and magazine archives would be help me immensely for references and verifiability. —Bloom6132 (talk) 17:49, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Wee Curry Monster (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I would like access to HighBeam, I tend to write a lot of my articles on historic figures and access to papers would be useful for me. I have been less active lately but so far have > 17,500 edits since joining in 2007. I am principally interested in content creation and looking to focus more in that area. I hadn't previously asked as I didn't want to take up a free place from someone who could use it better than I. WCMemail 17:50, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- Mkativerata (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) My principal editing area is Malaysian politics. Highbeam carries close to 20 years worth of New Straits Times articles -- Malaysia's biggest English language newspaper. Access to that would greatly assist me. Thanks --Mkativerata (talk) 19:23, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
