''International Velvet'' is the story of a girl, Sarah Brown, who is orphaned by a car crash. She is sent to [[England]] to live with her auntie, Velvet Brown. When Velvet was a simular age as Sarah, she entered the [[Grand National]] and won, however getting disqualified as she was too young and a woman. The horse Velvet rode on that occasion was called ''The Pie''. The horse was retired to a stud, and after much deliberation, Sarah and Velvet buy the last child of ''The Pie'' and aptly named it ''Arizona Pie'', combining the name of the father, and the state in America Sarah was originally from. Sarah lives up to her dream and enters the [[Olympic]] [[Three Day Eventing]] helping [[Great Britian]] win the team competition. She falls inlove with an American Competitor, and moves back to America with him. She sends her auntie, Velvet, her olympic medal, saying she deserved it.
