Gogango is a town in Central Queensland, Australia, 70 kilometres (43 mi) south west of the city of Rockhampton. At the 20011 census, Gogango and the surrounding area had a population of 310.<ref name=http://www.censusdata.abs.gov.au/census_services/getproduct/census/2011/quickstat/SSC30671?opendocument&navpos=220">
The Capricorn Highway passes through the town, and the intersection with the Leichhardt Highway is a few kilometres to the southeast. The major industry of the area is cattle grazing.
Gogango today a few houses and a School, the Fizroy river runs through Gogango area before flowing about 400km to Rockhampton.
History
In the 2010–11 Queensland floods the Fitzroy river rose to 28 meters in the Gogango area. In 1867, the Great Northern Railway (now known as The Central Line) reached the area from Rockhampton.
