Mike Shumaker is a Cleveland, Ohio native and is most known as the guitarist of the now defunct rock band Hey Mercedes. Before moving to Milwaukee and joining Hey Mercedes, Shumaker was the singer/guitarist of the Cleveland band Sheilboundfrom 1996 - 2002.
He now lives back in him hometown of Cleveland and is reported to be working on a new band with former Sheilbound members, and in a strange twist, working as the tour production manager for MTV pop star Ryan Cabrera. He reportedly also has some connection to a band from Iceland called The Blakhiv, though the connection is unclear... producer, talent scout, or guitar on the recordings...
