Interstate 480 is the designation for two tertiary interstate routes in the United States associated with Interstate 80.
Interstate 480 was also the designation for a planned route in San Francisco, also known as the Embarcadero Freeway. The small section that was completed was torn down as an 'eyesore' after being damaged in an earthquake.
Nebraska-Iowa
Interstate 480 is a loop highway that connects downtown Omaha, Nebraska (at a junction with Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 75) with Council Bluffs, Iowa (at a junction with Interstate 29). The entire length of I-480 is a short 4.9 miles. U.S. Highway 6 runs jointly with I-480 for a short distance, from Council Bluffs across the Missouri River.
Ohio
Interstate 480 is a busy loop highway that connects the Ohio Turnpike (I-80) with suburban Cleveland, Ohio. The western terminus is at I-80 near the town of North Ridgeville while the eastern terminus is at I-80 near Streetsboro. The entire length of I-480 is 41.77 miles.
