Badarkhali (বদরখালী) is a village in southeastern Bangladesh and a Union Parishad. Built on the banks of the Moheshkhali Channel, and has a population of over 45,000 thousand. It is located 120 km south of Chittagong and in Cox's Bazar District. The modern Badarkhali derives its name from Badar Shah. In 1340 Badar Shah and the twelve Awlias defeated King Achak Narayan of Taraf and established Muslim rule there.

Badarkhali Samabaya Krishi and Upanibesh Samity

Badarkhali Samabaya Krishi and Upanibesh Samity (বদরখালী সমবায় কৃষি ও উপনিবেশ সমিতি) is the second-largest co-operative society in south Asia and largest in Bangladesh. The Samity is the landlord of the total land of Badarkhali Union council area and all of people of the Badarkhali are beneficiary of this Samity and its lands. It was established in Badarkhali in 1929. It has 1500 shareholders and has a directorate board. There has 01 Chairman, 01 Vice Chairman, 01 Secretary and 09 Members in the Directorate Committee who are elected by its shareholders. A. K.M Iqbal Badry is the Secretary General of the present directorate committee.
