Wal-Mart Discount Stores are department stores operated by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. that average between 75,000 and 125,000 square feet (9,290 m²) in retail space, has a selection of general merchandise such as apparel, electronics, health and beauty aids, toys, sporting goods, and household products, and has a limited selection of food items. These stores also have an in-house-branded food court with full-menu McDonald's.

As of May 31, 2006, there were 1,163 Wal-Mart Discount Stores in the United States.
