Knute Buehler is an American politician. A Republican, he currently serves in the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 54 in Bend.[1] Previously, he was the unsuccessful Republican Party nominee for Oregon Secretary of State in 2012, losing to incumbent Democrat Kate Brown.[2] He won election to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2014, defeating Democrat Craig Wilhelm.[3]

Personal life

Buehler lives in Bend. He is a surgeon by trade. He is married and has two children. He worked on political independent Ross Perot's presidential campaign in 1992. He is a former Rhodes Scholar and a graduate of Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. He is originally from Roseburg, Oregon.[4]
