Kris Reeder was born in Oxford and grew up in Banbury/Oxford where he started playing the piano at the age of 7 (1991) and the Trombone at the age of 11 (1996). He was first exposed to Jazz when he participated in a free jazz/performance project when he was 14 (1999), gaining inspiration from the 'unfinished' nature of jazz. Kris Reeder has composed a range of experimental music. His first experimental solo trombone EP entitled ‘futurecooljazz’ (2014) was released in 2014. 'Futurecooljazz1.2' featuring Solo Trombone was released on the 14th of March 2014 and 'Futurecooljazz 2' was released on the 2nd of June 2014. Kris Reeder's latest seminal work entitled 'Anthology K84' is an Avant Garde album and was released on the 24th of September 2014. |

In 2013 Kris founded the 1984Ensemble, which experiments with electro - acoustic improvised Free Jazz music. The 1984Ensemble utilises broad arts based practitioners including Voice artists, actors, dancers and works to fuse different arts practices together. In 2014 Kris continued to collaborate with world class jazz improvisers, performing with Pat Thomas at the Old Fire Station, Oxford. Kris Reeder (born 1984) is an Oxford (UK) born Trombonist, Sonic Artist and Conductor. Kris Reeder has appeared on BBC1 (2012), BBC Radio Oxford (2012) and at Wembley Stadium (2012), Royal Albert Hall (2001), Royal Festival Hall (2000,2001,2002,2003,2004) and LSO St Lukes (2004), London. Kris Reeder has collaborated with Pat Thomas (2013).
