:I pledge to heal the wounds of Tatars,
:I pledge to heal the wounds of my nation,
:Why should my unfortunate brothers rot away?
:How come my unfortunate brothers rot away?
:If I don't sing, don't grieve for them, if I live,
:If I don't regret for them, grieve for them; then I live,
:Let the dark streams of blood of my heart go dry.
:Let the dark streams of blood in my heart go dry.

:I pledge to bring light to that darkened country,
:I pledge to spread light to that darkened country,
:How may two brothers not see one another?
:How come two brothers do not see one another?
:When I see this, if I don't get distressed, hurt, seared,
:When I see this, if I don't get distressed, hurt, seared,
:Let the tears that flow from my eyes become a river, a sea of blood.
:Let the tears that flow from my eyes become a sea of blood.

:I pledge to give my word to die for my nation
:I pledge, give my word to die for the nation
:Knowing, seeing, to wipe away the teardrops of my nation.
:Knowing, seeing, to wipe away the teardrops of my nation.
:If I live a thousand unknowing, unseeing years, If I become a gathering's chief,
:If I live a thousand years without seeing, knowing and become a khan with council,
:Still one day the gravediggers will come to bury me.
:Still one day the gravediggers will come to bury me.

Ant etkenmen (English: I've pledged) is the national anthem of the Crimean Tatars. It was written by Noman Çelebicihan and served as the national anthem of the short-lived Crimean People's Republic.

Lyrics

Crimean Tatar (Latin alphabet) Crimean Tatar (Cyrillic alphabet) English translation
Ant etkenmen, milletimniñ yarasını sarmağa,
Nasıl olsun bu zavallı qardaşlarım çürüsin?
Onlar içün ökünmesem, qayğırmasam, yaşasam,
Yüregimde qara qanlar qaynamasın, qurusın.
Ant etkenmen, şu qaranğı yurtqa şavle sepmege,
Nasıl olsun eki qardaş bir-birini körmesin?
Bunı körip buvsanmasam, muğaymasam, yanmasam,
Közlerimden aqqan yaşlar derya-deñiz qan olsun.
Ant etkenmen, söz bergenmen millet içün ölmege,
Bilip, körip milletimniñ köz yaşını silmege.
Bilmey, körmey biñ yaşasam, Qurultaylı han olsam,
Kene bir kün mezarcılar kelir meni kömmege.
I pledge to heal the wounds of my nation,
How come my unfortunate brothers rot away?
If I don't regret for them, grieve for them; then I live,
Let the dark streams of blood in my heart go dry.
I pledge to spread light to that darkened country,
How come two brothers do not see one another?
When I see this, if I don't get distressed, hurt, seared,
Let the tears that flow from my eyes become a sea of blood.
I pledge, give my word to die for the nation
Knowing, seeing, to wipe away the teardrops of my nation.
If I live a thousand years without seeing, knowing and become a khan with council,
Still one day the gravediggers will come to bury me.
