Mummidiavaram is located on NH 214 and is about 44 km from District HQ, Kakinada and 70 km from Rajahmundry. The nearest airport is at Rajahmundry (70 km) and nearest railway station is at Kakinada (44 km). Mummidi-varam is a Nagar Panchayat and tehsil headquarters near Amalapuram in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The Mummidivaram revenue block was formed out of the Amalapuram tehsil in July 1969. It is the second largest town in Konaseema.
