Basílio Alexandre Neiva de Almeida (born 12 August 1971), commonly known as Basílio Almeida is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a left winger for GD São Roque in the Ponta Delgada Distritais.
Career
Borin in Vila Nova de Gaia, Basílio Almeida started his career in Valadares in the third division, before joining Lusitânia Lourosa in the second division, where he stayed for three years. In 1995, he join primeira divisão team Salgueiros, where he had arguably the most successful period of his career. After playing in Vitória Guimarães for 3 years without ever impressing,[1] he returned to Salgueiros and amassed nearly 120 league appearances in four years.[2][3][4] He then moved through further seven teams.[5]
