Plot
Bianca has two beautiful best friends. Even though they're her pals, Bianca feels different. They are bouncy and fun, while Bianca is practical and cynical. And it's not made any better when her arrogant, handsome, womanizing ex-best friend Wesley tells Bianca she's a DUFF: a Designated Ugly Fat Friend, who is there to make the other girls look better. She couldn't possibly hate Wesley any more, and doesn't hesitate to let him know it. With her universe turned upside down, she ignores words of wisdom from her favorite teacher and enlists Wesley, to help set her apart from the pack and erase her label forever. In doing so, she hopes to land her crush Toby, and find the confidence to overthrow the school’s ruthless label maker Madison by reminding everyone that no matter what people look or act like, we are all someone’s DUFF... and that’s totally fine.
