Simborgarmärket is an award given to any person who can swimg at least 200 meters, chosing stroke in Sweden. It was first awarded on 8 July 1934, on the initiative of David Jonason to increase the number of people able to swim. Originally, it was only awarded to people aged 16 and older, and girls-women only needed to swim 150 meters.[1]
