Biography

Born and raised in Mantua, Eleonora Buratto graduated in singing at the Conservatory Lucio Campiani of Mantua in 2006. She participates in the same year to the masterclass held by Enzo Dara debuting in Mozart's Bastiano e Bastiana staged at the Teatro Bibiena of Mantua [2]. After three years of study under the guidance of Luciano Pavarotti , from February 2010 she studied and perfected with Paola Leolini , her current vocal coach [3]. She debuted young as Musetta in La Bohème in 2007 , winning the competition Adriano Belli 's Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto. After a few months she is Dirindina in La Dirindina va a teatro of Scarlatti. In June 2007, he debuted the role of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Opera of Mahon in Menorca[4].

Since that time she performs in major opera houses of Europe and the world , returning for many productions at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the Teatro alla Scala di Milano and Teatro Real Madrid and Salzburg Festival[5] . Ever since she was very young, she sings under the direction of conductors such as Riccardo Muti , Daniel Harding, Gianandrea Noseda , Zubin Mehta, Ivor Bolton, Stefano Montanari , Ottavio Dantone and Nello Santi performing in a repertoire that ranges from ' 700 to Puccini , to contemporary music.

In 2008 she debuted in the role of Crobyle in Thais[6] for the opening of the opera season of the Teatro Regio di Torino ; in June , again in [[Turin] , she plays Musetta in La Bohème [7]. In the summer of 2008, at the Wexford Festival Opera , she is Sofia 's Il Signor Bruschino and takes part in the production of Old maid and the Thief , as Ms. Pinkerton , and Tutti in maschera[8].

In 2009 she plays the role of Despina in Mozart 's Cosi fan tutte at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia and at the Zurich Opera[9]; conducted by Riccardo Muti , she debuted in the role of Creusa Demofoonte Jommelli at the Salzburg Festival[10], performing in 2010 also at Opéra Garnier in Paris and at the Ravenna Festival.

In the spring of 2010 she plays the role of Musetta at the Teatro Regio in Turin and during the tour of La Bohème in Shanghai under the direction of Gianandrea Noseda[11]; in autumn she plays the role of Glauce inMedea[12] di Cherubini at Teatro Ponchielli of Cremona and also in tour in theatres of Brescia, Pavia and Como[13]. In June 2010 she'sClorinda La Cenerentola opera conduct by Gianandrea Noseda at Festival di Stresa and in July she plays the role of Lorezza in Gianni di Parigi at Festival Valle d’Itria[14].

In April 2011 she debuted the role of Cleopatra[15] of Giulio Cesare by Handel conducted by Ottavio Dantone with Accademia Bizantina at Teatro Comunale Pavarotti of Modena[16]. In August she plays Ersilia in Romolo ed Ersilia by Hasse at Innsbruck conduct by Enrico Cremonesi with durection of Aniara Amos[17]. In November she is at Teatro Massimo of Palermo for the first time, in the role of Frasquita in Carmen of Bizet conduct by Renato Palumbo, with direction by Calixto Bieito[18]. The 2011 is the year of the first recording for Eleonora Buratto that , in the rediscovery and staged by Riccardo Muti lost opera by Saverio Mercadante I due Figaro , engages with success in the role of Susanna[19].

In this production , directed by Emilio Sagi , with scenes of Daniel Bianco and costumes by Jesus Ruiz , Eleonora Buratto plays the role of Susanna at the Salzburg Festival , the Teatro Real in Madrid , Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires and at the Ravenna Festival[20], where June 24 conducted by Riccardo Muti recorded 3 cd I due Figaro for Ducale Music and RMM[21]. Together with her in this recording there are other big names of Opera: Antonio Poli, Asude Karayavauz, Rosa Feola, Annalisa Stroppa, Mario Cassi, [Anicio Zorzi Giustiniani]], Oman Montanari and Philarmonia Chor Wien with Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.

For Eleonora Buratto 2012 is inaugurated at 'sign of success : in May she is at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples for La Bohème in which she plays Musetta , directed by Andrea Battistoni[22]. In June, she is back in Salzburg for the staging of Ariadne auf Naxos by [[Strauss] under the baton of Daniel Harding and the Wiener Philharmoniker[23], where she masterfully interprets the role of Echo[24] alongside artists such as Jonas Kaufmann and Emily Magee in a production of great success , also recorded on DVD and Blu-ray disc from Sony Classical. In August, she is again Susanna in the opera I due Figaro by Mercadante at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, conducted by Riccardo Muti . In November she debuted the role of Amelia in Verdi's Simon Boccanegra , in a lavish production of the Rome Opera under the baton of Riccardo Muti[25]. From late 2012 to January 1, 2013 she is Musetta La Bohème at Opera Montpellier , conducted by Roberto Rizzi Brignoli[26].

2013 opens with the debut of Eleonora Buratto in Chicago in the Mass in B minor by JS Bach , performed in early April with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra CSO[27] conduct by Riccardo Muti[28] . In May and June she is Norina in Don Pasquale , first at the Teatro Real Madrid under the baton of Riccardo Muti [29], then at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma conduct by Bruno Campanella. In July, she leaves for Salzburg to interpret successfully Nannetta of Falstaff in the Salzburg Festival , starring the great Ambrogio Maestri[30]. This exceptional production , conducted by Zubin Mehta and directed by Damiano Michieletto and music performed by the Vienna Philharmonic , is the complete recording in blu-ray disc and DVD of Unitel Classica. In September and October Eleonora Buratto is Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck at Montpellier Opera , alongside Delphine Galou in the role of Orpheus , with the conduction of Balàzs Kocsar and directed by Chiara Muti[31] . In November, she returned to Italy to play Mrs. Alice Ford in Falstaff in the winter season of the Teatro Dante Alighieri of Ravenna[32]; in December she is in Madrid for Adina in L’elisir d’Amore at Teatro Real, conduct by Marc Piollet with direcyion by Damiano Michieletto[33].

In 2014 continues the international career of Eleonora Buratto that leads to debut in January at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona in the role of Lisa in La Sonnambula made ??in co -production with the Wien State Opera and the [[Royal Opera House Covent Garden] in London , together other great performers such as Patrizia Ciofi , Juan Diego Flórez and Nicola Ulivieri[34] . In May, she captivates the public of Japan with its debut at the Bunka Kaikan Theatre of Tokyo in the role of Amelia Grimaldi in Simon Boccanegra conduct by Muti, directed by Adrian Noble[35]. In June she debuted the role of Micaela of Carmen at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, with cinduction of Emmanuel Villaume and stage direction of Emilio Sagi[36]. In September she is Susanna of Le Nozze di Figaro at Teatro Real di Madrid, conduct by Ivor Bolton, and direct by Emilio Sagi[37]. 2014 ends for Eleonora Buratto with the resumption of her interpretation of Mrs. Alice Ford in the production of Falstaff of Theatre Alighieri[38].
