Plot
Choi Mu-gak's younger sister Eun-seol was killed in the "Barcode" murder case. Her death leaves him so traumatized that he stops eating and sleeping for twenty days, and he slips into a coma for six months. When Mu-gak wakes up, he finds that he's lost the sense of smell and taste, and can no longer feel any physical pain. These strange side effects lead him to becoming closed off emotionally. He leaves his job at the aquarium, and becomes a detective three years later for the sole purpose of reopening the investigation into his sister's death.
Oh Cho-rim dreams of becoming a comedienne, though she keeps failing at her gagman auditions at TV networks. She has no memory of her life before waking up in the hospital at the age of 19, after a six-month coma. Cho-rim doesn't know that she once had a different name, lost her parents to the Barcode Murderer, and was the sole eyewitness to that crime. But all her senses have become hypersensitive, except she can't smell anything either. But Cho-rim can "see" smells, and can even trace where people have been because their lingering smells are like a visible trail. So she teams up with Mu-gak to catch the killer.
