"If That Were Me" is a song by British singer-songwriter, Melanie C. It was released as the fifth and final single from Melanie C's debut studio album, Northern Star. The single charted at the UK Singles Chart at number eighteen. The song's lyrics address the issue of homelessness.

The song was very well-received by most fans and critics. Caroline Sullivan of The Guardian has compared the song unfavourably with Phil Collins's 1989 anti-homelessness single "Another Day in Paradise".[1]
