Joe draws on his previous experience as a designer at Chronicle Books, as well as his development of a green design site and several consumer products. Joe Gebbia was born on August 21, 1981.[1] He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Industrial Design.[2]

He is the co-founder of Airbnb.[1]

Philanthropy

He serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).[3] In 2014, he donated US$300,000 to RISD to establish a US$50,000 term scholarship and an endowed fund.[4]

Personal life

He resides in San Francisco, California.[4]
