Hi {{U|Bfpage}}, thanks for taking a look at my article. Yes, I'm a research assistant to the creator of the questionnaire. All my references are from peer reviewed journals in sleep medicine/anesthesia. I believe I only have 4 primary resources in my article and the rest (18) should be secondary/tertiary sources. Is that not enough to establish notability? |

Hi, I am having problem to aggregate a translation on wiki, my fiancé made from portuguese to german the same legend that is in enwiki. It is an old legend, and it is all inside the context, the guy is old reviewer but his behavior is extremely abusive. I made printscreen of all mensages the she replied me. he banned me from german wiki, I would like know if there are how return and keep working in peace?
I was trying make a link to: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sage
from the translation of:
The guys says in Germany wiki do not exit legends and this subject is not important (In my opinion the importance comes from the fact complete a text about culture.)
Kind regards

- I regret that after reading the above referenced to wiki-related articles I can not understand the topic. Deciding that something is not notable enough for an article is usually decided by consensus on the English Wikipedia. Importance is entirely dependent on independent sources that can be cited and referenced. Our opinion on the importance of a topic is practically irrelevant.
Hi,
I noticed your profile on the teahouse page and was wondering if you would be so kind as to help me. I have been trying to get a page on Wikipedia since August. It is much harder than I anticipated. It has been denied twice. My first draft was written much better but right now I just want it published then he can make whatever changes he wants. Since we want to surprise him, I can't ask him for help. First time, my references for some reason posted under external links. While I was watching hours of videos and reading, someone was kind enough to "fix" it for me. However, I couldn't figure out how to update new entries. I posted on the teahouse site and got some discouraging news that I need notable references and that since the page is about a person, I most likely will not get it on Wikipedia. This is distressing to me because I have worked SO hard on this project. We wanted to surprise and honor him by making this page for him. There are tons of posts about him on magazines. Problem is they are VERY short sentences. I noticed that you mentioned being able to "find" articles so I was hoping you might have time to help me. Although he is NOT known here in the US, he is pretty well known in England where he works and resides. It would mean so much to me and two mutual friends, if you could help us get this page going. I would even ask them to give you Kudos on the radio program they do. I have included the main posts (and some of the minor ones) I have found on him. There are probably at least a dozen more but there is so little said. There are even a couple of mentions of him in a book by Sir Terry Logan (if memory serves me correctly that's his correct name) but again they are so vague I don't think they would be of benefit. I am brand new to Wikipedia so this can be very nerve racking. Yes I know they want us to start out editing others but hard to do when you can't find topics you can edit. I am on the verge of being homeless so I need to get this completed before I am without internet. I would be SO grateful for any help you could give.

The Quick Brown Fox changes
The four changes I made to the Quick Brown Fox were to provide online links to sourced material:
The "Scouting for Boys" book is available online at the link provided. The "Fox Typewriter" article is available online at the link provided.
One of the edits was when I made a mistake in typing the URL that I had to fix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.253.196.32 (talk) 01:18, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Good Faith Fanatic
Hello Bfpage, I have a question about your section User:Bfpage#I am a Good Faith Fanatic. You write "It cannot be accepted in the presence of obvious evidence to the contrary (vandalism)." What can not be accepted? Do you mean "It cannot be refuted"? That would fit nicely to my reply at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions#I Need Hope: Obviously, the behavior of many people on Wikipedia gives reason to see the glass as half empty; but it is clear from what has been created that the net effect has been positive. — Sebastian 02:00, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
- On my user page, under the section - I am a good faith fanatic, I cut and pasted the content of that section directly from a Wikipedia policy page. I believe that it means that if someone edits in the statement, "Porky pig is the president of the United States", it is okay to assume that this is not a good faith edit.
- I see, thanks. That's WP:AGF, which now reads "This guideline does not require that editors continue to assume good faith in the presence of obvious evidence to the contrary (vandalism)." — Sebastian 07:41, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Pittsburgh and Morgantown ArtAndFeminism Editathons
Hi Bfpage. Great to see your energy in organizing a much-needed Pittsburgh meetup! If you would like to volunteer with a place that's relatively close to Pittsburgh, Wikipedia:Meetup/Morgantown/ArtAndFeminism could use help from an experienced Wikipedian for their March 7 event, and organizers can help with travel. Also, there is someone who wants to organize a Pittsburgh ArtAndFeminism Editathon sometime in April, maybe you can work together. If you'd like to get in touch with these people via email (most aren't active Wikipedians), I can connect you if you send something to Special:Email/Pharos.--Pharos (talk) 21:09, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! What a kind offer. I work during the day into early evening and so would not be able to attend such an event in Morgantown. My interest in art is much broader than just art and feminism, and want to keep the invitation to the Pittsburgh meet up as broad as possible. I have to admit that I don't understand the concept of having a Wikipedia meet up with people who aren't Wikipedians or interested in becoming one.
- Best Regards,
- Yes, we want to support all topics in art, and in all fields, we're an encyclopedia after all :) I think the idea is that people who go to a topical editathon like this are interested in becoming Wikipedians, and are starting on that path by editing during the event, and will hopefully continue after. I'm also a huge fan of meetups that are as broad as possible, but in a complementary way also try to support topical events where there is interest and they can possibly engage newer Wikipedians. (Fwiw, the Morgantown event is on a Saturday, not sure if that helps.)--Pharos (talk) 18:17, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Rollback and pending changes reviewer granted
Hello Bfpage. Your account has been granted the "rollback" and "reviewer" user rights. These user rights allow you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes and quickly revert the edits of other users.
- Please keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin).
- The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection enabled is located at Special:StablePages. You may find the following pages useful to review:
- Wikipedia:Reviewing, the guideline on reviewing.
- Wikipedia:Pending changes, the summary of the use of pending changes.
- Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection, the policy determining which pages can be given pending changes protection by administrators.
Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of reviewer or rollback. If you no longer want either of these user rights, contact me and I'll remove it, alternatively you can leave a request on the administrators' noticeboard. Happy editing! — MusikAnimal talk 05:37, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- PS: Regarding your recent editing disputes – not to say that you would, but I just wanted to make it clear that rollback should never be used in such cases. Refer to Wikipedia:Rollback#When to use rollback for what is acceptable use. Your counter-vandalism efforts look great. Thanks for helping out. — MusikAnimal talk 05:37, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Okay looks like I messed up. Judging by your request that you had been using STiki, I thought you had requested rollback, when you had actually requested pending changes reviewer. That being said, my compliments of your STiki usage still stands, so I leave you with the rollback bit. Just again do note what is acceptable use. As for pending changes reviewer, that does not grant you status or changes the way you edit. It merely allows you accept/deny pending changes at Special:PendingChanges. Hopefully we're both on the same page now. Thanks and sorry for the confusion on my part :) — MusikAnimal talk 05:42, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your vote of confidence. I won't be pushing any buttons until I've read all of the instruction manuals!
Scrotum article
Your recent edit works for humans, but flies in the face of many other mammals. How is the scrotum above the penis for a dog or horse, for two examples? Superior/inferior are more correct terms in biology and medicine. In the case of both of the above and in humans, the scrotum would be inferior to the penis or the rest of the body. Agree?Wzrd1 (talk) 13:57, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- I totally agree with you. In this article I suggest we begin every section by describing the human scrotum and then in a paragraph in the same section we describe the differences that exist in other mammals.
Strange message
I got a strange notification message from you. Maybe about Heather Bresch, maybe about a Pittsburgh Meetup. It was more or less empty. Please try again. Lou Sander (talk) 13:40, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 28
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Bro Code: How Contemporary Culture Creates Sexist Men, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Class, California Polytechnic University and Race (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

My edit for Black Cardamom was not a joke. I bought a package of Dried Ammoium (Golden Cock Brand from China)from the Hong Kong Market in New Orleans. It took a long time to figure out what it was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcward (talk • contribs) 01:45, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi there. A couple comments regarding The embryonic and prenatal development of the male reproductive system (human)
- Is this an entirely original article or was it split off from an existing article? If the latter, a {{Split to}} should be added to the talk page.
- The title seems awfully unwieldy. Something like Development of the human male reproductive system would be much preferred per WP:CONCISE and WP:NATURAL
Cheers! --Animalparty-- (talk) 02:14, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- Greetings! Thanks for weighing in on this. The article really isn't about the development of the human male reproductive system across the life span, it is much more focused than that and goes into greater depth from an embryonic viewpoint along with the influences of the chromosomes and androgens in the earliest stages of development.
- As for the article being a split, that is a little more difficult to answer. There is an article called Development of the reproductive system. That particular article covers embryonic development of both females and males. It gets somewhat confusing with the hormones acting on males and females in different ways. Additionally, I've compared the two articles:
- Development of the reproductive system
- the article covers the development of both sexes
- The title does not indicate whether the topic describes human embryology only
- Most of the article contains uncited statements.
- Last edit February 10, 2015
- One external link
- Two topic templates:
- {{Sex determination and differentiation}}
- {{Development of urinary and reproductive systems}}
- Three categories
- Unclear referencing style
- One text cited
- Three websites cited
- Absence of “See also” section of wikilinks to relevant topics
- Assessed as a B class article
- Development of the reproductive system
- The embryonic and prenatal development of the male reproductive system (human)
- Unambiguous title, i.e., human versus non-human
- The embryonic and prenatal development of the male reproductive system (human)
- Last edit March 3, 2015
- Every paragraph (at least) is referenced. Only 2-3 statements remain uncited because they were uncited when they were incorporated from the Development of the reproductive system article.
- Five external links
- Eight topic templates
- Two Commons categories links/templates
- Consistent referencing style
- Six bibliography entries
- 22 references
- 11 categories
- Assessed as a start article
- If this were truly a split, there would be a corresponding article covering the embryonic development of the human female reproductive system. If it were truly a split, then the two split articles should be shorter than the original. I incorporated the referenced information that was available from the article Development of the reproductive system into The embryonic and prenatal development of the male reproductive system (human) sans the info and references dealing with the female development. I am more than willing to accept a better, shorter article title.

Use STiki carefully
Before reverting an edit, read carefully. Thanks --115ash→(☏) 13:56, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! What I saw and 'thought' I reverted didn't look anything like the editing diff page you alerted me to. I think that I might be going too fast with STIki and reversions might be occurring before mine that I miss. Today, I had to stop, leave the STiki interface and go over the editing diffs a little more slowly to understand that there is a time period, a lag or a refreshing problem that takes my reverts past where they were intended to take place. I thank you for bringing this to my attention. I think I will open up an editing diff window alongside of STIki to see exactly when my reverts are applied and then correct the speed at which I work with Stiki so I don't fly past the corrections someone has already made. This happened twice today. Thank you again and I apologize for any damage or waste of time that my ineptitude may have caused you. Best Regards,

You seem to keep removing a sourced list of this school's headmasters... Please either explain why the page is better without this information or if this change was done in error, revert it to its previous state. - For elementary/primary and middle schools, reliable secondary sources are usually too limited for notability according to wikipedia editing policy: WP:SCH. Elementary schools are not considered notable to include in Wikipedia, along with listing of elementary staff.
- After a more careful review of the article, I have tagged it as being promotional in nature, 'spam' if you wish. This is easy to correct. Simply remove 'puffery' and 'weasel' words as described in this section of wikipedia policy: WP:Spam, WP:puffery, WP:weasel. It looks like you had a good writer, someone who originally generated this article for you and these issues are easy to fix.
- Bfpage |leave a message 13:05, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- This school educates students through grade 12, so it qualifies as a degree-awarding secondary school. Accordingly, per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES and its very long history, it would almost certainly survive any attempt to delete the article. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 06:41, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- I believe you, certainly, especially since I was unaware of the WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES - which means, then, that in this case, they have a free licence to include whatever promotional language they wish. Are you also saying then, in general, if an article is very notable it will also survive though it were filled with promotional language and puffery? (Still just trying to learn here....) At least, from now on, I won't even bother tagging such school articles. I've been reviewing a lot of edits to school articles in my attempts to master STiki and there is a tendency to list notable alumni also without references. I appreciate your communication on this. I will withdraw the nomination so I don't waste the time of other editors. I consider you a reliable source and invite your instruction whenever possible.

- It is not worth the trouble or time to spend any more energy on this. Feel free to retain whatever Youtube references you prefer - add more if you feel this strongly about it. Now, are you going to find references for all those other statements in the article? Should unreferenced statements be removed? How about I just leave you alone about this?

Hi, You reverted a couple of my edits on the above page on the grounds that there was no ref for a statement I've added. I've added a ref, and reinserted the sentence. You also re-added at the same time a sentence that I'd removed which had no reference, and was an expression of some previous editor's opinion. Why did you do that? I've left it in for the moment, but I do think it should be removed. Thanks. DaveApter (talk) 11:53, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, I must have 'caught' you right in the middle of what you were doing and so didn't see the end result. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion over what happened. I have lots of trouble with unreferenced statements by other editors all the time. I routinely remove them because without a reference, a statement really is just an opinion, you are right! When I revert edits, sometimes the program goes beyond just the most recent edit and reverts the one before it, too. Maybe that is what happened. It's great you figured out what my mistake was and you fixed it for me. Thank you again. Wikipedia needs editors like you!

Edits like this are not constructive. You made the sentence ungrammatical. And this change made the sentence more confusing. 24.215.92.54 (talk) 00:30, 9 March 2015

Capstans...
Hi Bfpage Just getting into editing. Having some trouble adding an image. I see you reverted the link to "Capstans on a tall ship.pdf in Capstan Equation. Is that because the file is missing or is there a copyright problem? Will try again. Also, I would like to write an article about Josephson Voltage standards. These are mentioned peripherally in several existing Wikipedia articles but there is not a definitive article on the subject. I have been involved with the development of these standards for 25 years and as such have written numerous primary research and review articles on the subject. These publications were written as contributions of the US government and are therefore not subject to the copyright requirements of the journals they were published in. My question: To what extent can I cut and paste from my own writing in these published papers to create an article for Wikipedia? EE483597 (talk) 01:06, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello again. I don't think I did the revert. I'll take a look at the edit history and see what the problem might be. As for creating an article on the topic you mention, there is a policy about publishing original research. I'll try to get back to you on that also.
- Bfpage |leave a message 01:56, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Bfpage My JVS article would not be original research. It would source review papers and original research some of which is mine. Still having trouble adding a photo to Capstan Equation. Is there some thing wrong with this line (go to edit to see it):
What does the red mean - something wrong I assume. I can see the photo in the Wiki library so why can't may edit find it? EE483597 (talk) 21:05, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- One thing I do know is that a pdf file is not recognized by Wikipedia as an image. Also, you have to make sure that this is a file that you created yourself you cannot upload copyrighted images.
pdf was the problem. Uploaded a .png and all is OK. No copyright problem. My photo with permission of ship owner Thanks EE483597 (talk) 22:41, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yikes! If you did not take the picture it is not your picture to upload. If the picture was created by someone else, Wikipedia has to have written permission from the person for the picture to be used. A verbal communication between you and the person who owns the copyright is not sufficient proof that the picture is okay to use on Wikipedia.

Hi! I noticed that you are part of both WikiProject Insects and WikiProject Lepidoptera, which cover insects. I thought that you might like WikiProject Beetles, a project devoted to improve the coverage of beetles on Wikipedia. If you would like to join, click here and add your name! Can you help me?
I read your profile on the teahouse and you sound like the right person to help me. I realize you are very busy but I'm hoping you can find time to assist me. I read something about you being able to find the resources to get an article approved so I am hopeful that together we can make my article complete. He is on a radio program in the UK that I listen to weekly. During one program while he was away, his fellow presenters challenged us to send in information that could be used on a Wikipedia page. We wanted to surprise him with it. Anyway, the article is about Alastair Greener and apparently the resources I have used are not appropriate ones for Wikipedia. Was hoping that you could help me with this article. It's important to us. Thanks. KatieCollins (talk) 05:51, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- That sounds like a fun challenge! Let me get back to you...
- Here is the strategy on finding reliable sources that establishes this persons's notability. First you can go to his 'official website', which by iteself is NOT a reliable source. But on his website he lists lots of experiences, roles that he has had in theatre productions, voice-over and other sorts of jobs. Here is the clincher: at least one or better two or three of those jobs needs to have been reported in a newspaper, magazine or in some other source NOT generated by him, his twitter account, his blog or any other source that was/is produced by him. See how that works? Someone is notable not because they say that they are, someone is notable and may have an article about them if their notability is established by others. You can't use twitter, facebook or Youtube to prove that someone is a notable person. My best bet for you at this point is to find newspaper reviews of him and his work. Magazines are good, too. Even another television program NOT produced by him on which he is interviewed is considered al good source. Let me know how that goes for you. Are you pretty good at searching Google? Don't forget to search under Google news and Google Scholar.
- Best Regards,

Hi Bf. This rambling BLP violation can in no way be a AGF revert. Best, -- Sam Sailor Talk! 18:07, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- Like I mentioned below, according to the instructions, training, website and template messages, test edits and jokes are grouped with Good Faith edits - not really my call since I'm using the STIki program. I have seem the edit histories of others and some are much stricter than I am. For more comment see below message.
- Bfpage |leave a message 18:51, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
NO AGF here
- Good faith edits encompass all of the joking and test edits according to the wording, templates and 'training' that comes with STIki. I know by reading the editing histories of others using this same program, they are a little stricter and would probably tend to agree with you. How do you judge the 'good faith' of some fifth grader? This whole day has been a repair job in response to unattended school classrooms, computer labs and libraries. They can't even spell their vandalism correctly. I find plenty of vandalism, for sure but there is something totally weird about today's batch of 'unconstructiveness'.

The information recently added concerning Katy Freels Wikipedia pages were from the source references Katy Freels and Sean McBride themselves. I do not know how to change that to make the references valid.

Good afternoon.
You have recently unedited an edition of mine in ""BRÔA DE AVINTES" entry reporting VANDALISM. If you did that IN GOOD FAITH then I assume you must know well the target subject as well as the language. But let me talk a little bit about about me and my motivations: I am an internet user since 1992 (imagine!). I use Wikipedia since it started on a daily basis. It's been improving dramatically. The articles translated to English from other languages (and vice-versa) with automatic translation softwares, however, are quite poor... I am sure you agree. I do not have normally the time to engage as an Wikipedia editor. This time though I've decided to give it a go. Why did I do that? Well, like yourself, I also know the topic and I, moreover, am bilingual (a huge privilege, I know). The core content of the entry was left unchanged. Minor alterations in British English were introduced. In good conscience and FAITH I therefore decided to Undo your undoings at: "Undid revision 650627787 by Bfpage (talk)" . I sincerely apologise if this may, in any way, hurt your GOOD FAITH intentions. Background and Disclaimer: I am, as I said, bilingual BRITISH-ENGLISH (please note: British English, NOT American)and Portuguese. I also have full command of French and Spanish. I am now residing in Portugal. I am lecturing and I know the culture. I moreover have many Portuguese relatives, friends, co-workers, students, etc. I am an above average (by anywhere in the World standards) educated person, which I can certify to Wikipedia head office if required. On March 9th, after reading the English entry for "Brôa de Avintes" - most certainly an automatic translation, I assumed - from the Portuguese entry, having also read the headlines where it says that, and I quote: "This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. This article does not cite any references or sources. (March 2013) This article is an orphan, as no other articles link to it. Please introduce links to this page from related articles; try the Find link tool for suggestions. (January 2013" (end of quote) I've decided give a small contribution to the promotion of Portuguese traditional cuisine abroad by improving, just a little, a tiny bit, its English verbiage. Nothing of the core content was altered. Today, though, I found out that all my correction were annulled, and more my editing were considered under the OFFENSIVE epithet of "VANDALISM". I'll be looking forward to, IN GOOD FAITH, hear from you soon. Meanwhile I will keep record/pdf of the present page and of this comment for future reference. Kind Regards. TSS.TSSWikip (talk) 18:55, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello again and thank you for visiting my talk page. Have you been editing under this username: User talk:93.108.50.46? That is the username of the person who was edit I reverted on the article that you mention above. When I went to the talk page of the user listed above, I did not see any mention of vandalism. There is a large red word that says "vandalism' in the editing difference window. This word is presented as an option to the editor who is reviewing the change to the page. I did not choose that option, even though it appears in bright red letters.
- As for insulting you unintentionally, I am very sorry. I would never call into question your skill or mastery of this or another language. It is good for Wikipedia to have you here helping to make the articles that are. The last thing I ever wanted to do is discourage you from doing this. Please keep on doing the good job that you are going during. Also, it is more typical to add it under one username instead of two, although I don't have a problem with that I was just confused thinking I might be talking to two different people.
- As for getting your corrections annulled, please don't be discouraged. Out of all the writing that I have done on Wikipedia my changes have been annulled over 320 times! When that happens to me sometimes I get irritated, but I usually end up doing an even better job of writing just to show the other person that I do know what I'm doing. I am communicating with you in good faith because I believe in you and that you will be a good editor. If I irritated you, I am sorry I did not mean to do that. You are not a vandal and you did not commit vandalism. I think you should keep working on that article, it needs your help to get better. Best Regards,
- Addendum: you might not want to type in all capital letters because to some people that seems like shouting.
Message from User:108.29.158.133
Hi, I am looking to apply a searchbot to the article I am working on, but offline like you suggested. Is there a way to do this? I drafted an article that was twice deleted for sentence transgressions that were less than 3% of the entire article, then was told i was writing a textbook, after having the article edited from the 3rd draft to a set of class notes. I want to write a article on the subject, not a timeline, but keep getting tripped by the bots. Can you make a suggestion going forward? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.29.158.133 (talk) 00:09, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Also, when using the talk page, how do you start a new entry? I selected new section, but it was appended to the last message?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.29.158.133 (talk) 00:12, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- First, let me recommend that you register with a username that you pick out. When you register a username the editing window will slightly change for you and be come just a little easier to use. Pick a very benign name, possibly some combination of surnames and then it will be easier to recognize you and help you out as you edit.
- Second, new users are under GREAT scrutiny with their first edits or writing. Unless you do something perfect, chances are your every addition and subtraction will be reverted. This is almost guaranteed if it is large amounts of text you are moving around.
- I don't recognize how you are using the term 'applying a searchbot' to an article you are writing.
- To leave a message for someone at the bottom of their talk page, you scroll down to the last message on the talk page, it will be right before the message that you want to write. On the last message on the talk page, you will see that it has a title. Next to the title you will see the word "Edit". Click on the word "edit". The editing window will then open up. Scroll down in the editing window to the very last line of the message. Double space. Then type these characters in: == The title of my message == .
- I actually understand what you're talking about. I've taken textual information from a source and converted it into a chart myself. It is sometimes hard to describe this process to another editor but it can be very valuable.
- If you need a place to practice your editing let me know I can create a sandbox in which you can experiment. Lots of times, I will insert things into my sandbox to see what it looks like when it is loaded onto a page on Wikipedia, but not in article space. Then about five seconds later I delete the whole thing so that doesn't stay in their for someone to destroy or label is vandalism.
- If you really want to get this up in a place on Wikipedia where you can work on it with some chance of not having it disturbed before you have it in something of a final form, I am open to you emailing me your text and having me putting it into an appropriate place on Wikipedia with all sorts of notes and explanations that this is a practice piece and that other editors would be so helpful as to let you work until you feel your text is ready.
- You may want to try to do some easy edits before you take on something so monumental. If that something you would like to try to do minor copy editing problems. In this way you will begin to build up the reputation of your username as not being an editor accidentally or on purpose blundering around on Wikipedia accidentally destroying the work. This is not what I think you're doing or this is not even what I think you're going to do but there is this little hump that you have to get over before the other editors will leave you alone long enough so that you can write your material.
Thanks for your assists in making the text back into an article , I'll leave it to you since watching the moves and edits is so frustrating after putting it all in order so that the tale could be better understood. But, I defer to your greater experience with this... CaptJayRuffins (talk) 21:18, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Please jump right in. I am concentrating more on the formatting and setting it up. I also tried to get the article into what I thought was a chronological order and of course I may have gotten it wrong. If you want some major sections moved around, let me know. You can add 'wiki-links'. When you open the editing window, you put brackets around words that will lead to other articles. It looks like this [[Los Angeles]]. Wikilinks will integrate your article into the rest of the encyclopedia.

Just answering a note you left
I took your advice re:editing offline and being patient with the editors. I resubmitted the draft with lots of references and now am looking for help resolving any issues that didn't appear before. If you can take a look at Draft: stentorians and give me a heads up as to what's not acceptable, I'd be grateful for the help. If this is the wrong place, apologies, I tried to answer in Tea:Talk but couldn't find the post... CaptJayRuffins (talk) 20:24, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- You should probably watch as I edit this a bit.....keep refreshing the page to see the changes and jump in and edit when you can. The article has to read like an encyclopedia article. All the references are going to be a great help.
