The following improvements to the article will hopefully explain Hampton's life in greater detail, while offering a solid structure for the article that makes it more logical/simple to read. The first step will be to outline Hampton's early life, as well as her "pre-Hopkins" career. Much of her impact in nursing was made at Johns Hopkins, so it is critical to have a detailed section regarding this. The final section will outline the later years of her life, including any additional contributions to nursing/medicine, and her death. Adding photo/description boxes is the final step in the plan - one listing important dates with a portrait of Isabel, and a second with information about one of her publications. A solid, updated references page will also be added to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.7.26.221 (talk) 17:26, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

The following is a draft for a possible lead paragraph:
Isabel Adams Hampton Robb (1860-1910) was heavily involved in the modernization of the nursing system in the United States. She was a nurse theorist, author, and instructor. Hampton's notable roles in the nursing field include serving as the first Superintendent of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, writing influential textbooks, and founding organizations now known as the National League for Nursing, the International Council of Nurses, and the American Nurses Association. Hampton also played a large role in advancing the social status of nursing through her work in developing a curriculum of more advanced training during her time at Johns Hopkins. Revision as of 06:11, 25 March 2015

I will be editing this page for a project for a seminar on the history of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for the Spring 2015 Semester. The page could use more information overall. There is important information pertaining to Hampton's career and personal life that is missing. I think this page could include more subdivisions. The "Impact in Nursing" section could be divided into sections focusing specifically on her contributions to Johns Hopkins and her personal life, for example. Sources that could be used include the history section of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine website[1] and a short biography on Hampton [2] Devynbell114 (talk) 20:19, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am partnering with Devyn for this project on Hopkins Medicine. There is a lot of specific Johns Hopkins Medicine related information that could be included in this Wikipedia article, especially from some of the sources listed below. I also believe this page should include more information dealing with Isabel's early life, in order to see how much this influenced her career and ideology. This article could also use pictures of Isabel and the Hopkins Nursing Building. An information box on the side with a picture of her published book and relevant summaries/information could also be useful. Rserafi2 (talk)
