Comment/question: Could BracketBot insert an extra newline before the heading of the message it adds to a user's talkpage, please?
Thank you for a useful aid.

ReferenceBot – SusunW
Page: American Indian boarding schools Diff: The ISBN I used from the book was 978-0-8061-1458-4 https://books.google.com.mx/books?id=HiP-sWiqYL4C&lpg=PP1&pg=PR4#v=onepage&q&f=false which matches what is printed. I checked in ISBN search and it comes up negative, so I searched Amazon and found a different ISBN http://www.amazon.com/Oklahoma-History-Centuries-Arrell-Gibson/dp/0806117583 which cleared the page error Comment/question: Don't know if reference will be used again, but the printed reference in the book is what I originally input. Is there a way to program Wikipedia to point the 978-0-8061-1458-4 to the correct number 978-0806117584 if someone inputs it, like I did, from the Google site? SusunW (talk) 01:04, 31 January 2015 (UTC) SusunW (talk) 01:04, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- @SusunW: So the book misprinted its own ISBN? While technically it might be possible to add a list of ISBN "redirects", I rather doubt it's common enough an occurrence to justify the huge effort, which would probably include significant changes to the Mediawiki software, not just to templates or other user-designed content. (Out of curiosity, did you check a physical copy of the book, or did you rely on Google Books' digitalization? My trust in the accuracy of scanning was recently shaken, and I'm not sure I'd consider a pattern matching error during digitalization less likely than a misprint in the physical book.) Anyway, I'll leave a note at Wikipedia talk:ISBN, but I don't really expect any positive results.
- A930913, what I'm much more concerned about is that apparently the edit that caused the ISBN error was [1] while SusunW was notified about the earlier diff [2]. Huon (talk) 13:42, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks anyway. At least we got the right one on the file. I would never have known it was printed wrong in the book. And no, I have no access actual to English language books here in Mexico, only web versions. SusunW (talk) 15:46, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Page: Classification of ethnicity in the United Kingdom
Diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?diff=650658688
Comment/question: I can't see a URL error in that reference - there's not a URL field used as it's a book. There was a URL error in this edit though, so perhaps you meant that one?

- Cordless Larry: ReferenceBot should have told you that you introduced an "unsupported parameter" error by adding the parameter
|publiisher=
. It looks like ReferenceBot made a slight mistake. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:26, 10 March 2015 (UTC)- Ah, thanks Jonesey95. My bad. Cordless Larry (talk) 14:34, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi, excellent bot. But ... could you please downcase in the title, to follow the sitewide rule that we've had since about 2002. That is, not: "Reference Errors on ...", but "Reference errors on ..."?
Thanks Tony (talk) 01:54, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
