This article provides a list of operating high-speed rail networks, listed by country. High-speed rail is public transport by rail at speeds of at least 200 km/h (125 mph) for updated track and 250 km/h (160 mph) or faster for new track.[1][2]
Overview
The following table gives an overview of high speed rail by country.
It shows
- all high speed dedicated lines (speed of 200 km/h or over) in service and under construction, listed by country. Based on UIC figures (International Union of Railways),[3] it has been updated with other sources.
- countries that plan high speed.
