Hi. I noticed you tagged an article that I edited which says that this article has "multiple issues." I am a little new to wikipedia, and I hope you can point out to me what changes I need to make in order to meet the standards of wikipedia to avoid the "close connection" tag, the "original research" tag, and the "notability" tag. Perhaps these tags don't have anything to do with my edits, but the edits that came before me? since the article was up since January, and I only made my first edits in March, can it be that the problems are from previous edits that came before mine? If that is the case, I am ready to change those edits too, in order to improve the article to meet wikipedia quality standards. I really appreciate your help. the article in question is:

About Page Deletion Continued

Hi Shrikanth, I thank you for the welcome. I did have a look for tellychakkar's operations and it is a newschannel based only for bollywood and not a fan-site. I am in no way related to Reet Sharma. Second, she has been mentioned in the vocal-visual news of Times Of India. Hence, kindly remove the tags and the notification of deletion. --Tanishqsh (talk) 13:42, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About Page Deletion

Hi This is Tanishq. I would like to tell you that there are various (reliable) sources such as Times Of India's report on Reet Sharma (Times Of India is India's largest newspaper and the reporting rooted name), and her entrance in the new show. There are also articles published on news channel website, for example telechakkar.com about Reet Sharma and her projects. I have reliably entered the variable sources on her Wikipedia page. Kindly remove the tag as soon as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tanishqsh (talkcontribs) 13:23, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

4 April 2014 Modi

What did i remove from the Narendra Modi page? Tri400 (talk) 16:04, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have merged your original entry sub-headed NEWS to another main section headed Merged entry on a specific news incident. However, no alterations have been made to the original post and replies. Talk:Arvind_Kejriwal#Merged_entry_on_a_specific_news_incident

You have deleted the page Katikala Siva Bhagya Rao. The man runs an NGO offering free services to over 22000 backward caste people in Andhra Pradesh, India. The work this man does may not reach the elite media because all his work is in the villages at the grass root level. The man needs commendation and a wiki page is the least one can do for him. I also have given newspaper articles about his service work. The language could have been more simplistic, agreed. But certainly isn't 'instant delete' worthy. Whilst, movie stars with mere 1,2 movies have wiki articles, why should a government servant who spend the last three decades in helping people through his NGO not deserve a wiki page? Can you please help me put up this page again. -- Hunking Hunk

Deletion

Okay, this needs to stop. Whilst occasionally you make a good call on articles which need to be deleted, the signal-to-noise ratio is so low that it verges on the disruptive. This isn't a new development, either; since you started here, you have demonstrated consistently poor judgement in the application of CSD, PROD, BLPPROD and AFD tags, and the last month or so has shown that there has been little improvement in this area. I'm therefore, regretfully, laying down a final warning: if you make another inappropriate deletion request, via any deletion mechanism, I or another administrator may block your account without warning. This has gone on for far too long - turn your attention to other areas of Wikipedia (I know you were looking at GA recently) and leave the whole sphere of deletion alone. I'm sorry it's come to this, but enough is enough. Yunshui  08:14, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I take your Advice Yunshui, will give up deletion handling until you ask me back into it , & let me create something good from now on .. (do I have to take back my current AFD's ? , do let me know ) , yes finally got a GA for article but had to rework again with senior editor to keep it that way Shrikanthv (talk) 08:23, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need to withdraw the AFDs you've already done unless the !voting is entirely against you (if anyone else has !voted for deletion, the discussion should be allowed to run for the full week). Let me know if you need any help with article creation. If you do happen across something that's incontrovertibly deletable (don't go looking for it!), please feel free to ask me for a second opinion - I'd rather not block you if I don't have to! Dear Mr Shrikanth. THe discussion talk page on polls projections regarding Narendra Modi is waiting for you. Please do not show so much desperation to delete what all opinion polls are projecting. GA reassessment

Sri Aurobindo, an article that you or your project may be interested in, has been nominated for a community good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. - Sitush (talk) 19:05, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Aurobindo

Hi, regarding the GA delisting of Sri Aurobindo, you say that there was no consensus for it. WP:CONSENSUSis not a vote but rather a decision based on assessment of arguments that in turn are based on policy compliance. Even you have said that the article has many faults, and others (including me) have said the same. It is not GA standard & I think it will take quite a bit of work to make it so. - Sitush (talk) 23:22, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I happened to click on the article and was surprised to see his birth name three times in the infobox, but the article name not once. Is there a reason I might understand? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:48, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
hi, I really did not notice that, corrected it. there was disscussion previously on this , he started to use Sri in front of his name without ghose on later stage of his life, so had to correct this. thanks for noticing Shrikanthv (talk) 06:23, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sri Aurobindo finally made it! Congratulations - all that hard work finally paid off. Yunshui  09:06, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations from your GA reviewer. I am pleased to see the article so much improved. I am sure you will have noticed that there is still room for improvement beyond the GA criteria; I have listed some of these areas at the end of the GA review. Be aware that many editors believe that GA status requires perfect formatting of citations: the fact that the criteria quite plainly state that this is not a requirement is easily overlooked. Editors are of course quite right to push for references to be tidy and well-organised, and it will probably save you trouble if you take time to tidy these up further. After that, I am sure that further development of the Influence and Reception sections will prove interesting and productive, and will certainly make the article stronger. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:20, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, no article is perfect. Congratulations Shrikanthv! Bladesmulti (talk) 10:19, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Quality of sources

A copyvio has been detected and removed from the Sri Aurobindo article, and another source needs to be verified. It will be necessary to address any concerns people may have about the reliability of the sources used, or the article may be delisted. There is discussion on the talk page. Hi

I replied to your discussion here: [1]. Thanks for reporting the file, but WP:AFD was the wrong process. I tagged it as orphaned fair use. If you think it is copyvio/incorrect source you should tag for that additionally, using WP:CSD:F3, F7 or F9, and given the history of the uploader I have to say that seems likely to be the case. If you need help, let me know, but I only come here once a week or so now, so might not reply immediately. Cheers. Begoontalk 18:17, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My brother, who created the article, asked me what to do about it. I've no issue with you placing the csd tag on the article, but have userfied it to allow him to work it up. Canvassing

Hello Shrikanthv, It appears that you have been canvassing users to participate in your AfD for saffron terror. You should note that there are guidelines for WP:Canvassing, which you are expected to follow. If you do not follow them, all the votes that you have canvassed will be in danger of being discounted. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 11:58, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Kautilya3: read the policy you are heavily mistaken. But if you are convinced report to WP:ANI, beware of WP:BOOMERANG though. Cheers! --AmritasyaPutraT 12:15, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Kautilya, note my comments it is not biased and does not carry any remote influence nor indirect suggestive measure of what has to be done , if this was the criteria and I even posted in Indian community for involvement and does not carry an ounce of suggestion on what has to be done. Shrikanthv (talk) 12:17, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The guidelines are quite strict: "The audience must not be selected on the basis of their opinions—for example, if notices are sent to editors who previously supported deleting an article, then identical notices should be sent to those who supported keeping it. Do not send notices to too many users, and do not send messages to users who have asked not to receive them." I thought I should let you know. That is all. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 13:14, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

again please read by clicking on the link here wp:tagbomb, and I have not reverted you Shrikanthv (talk) 09:05, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you did and I reverted it back. I am not tag bombing because each and every tag is valid. Tag bombing is only valid when the tags are not valid. Show how the tags you removed are not valid. One by one. Speedy Climber (talk) 10:20, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Template:Comment from uninvolved editor Can I just say that yes, WP:TAGBOMB mostly applies to adding a load of irrelevant tags to a page, but it's not recommended that you add a load of tags to a page even if they all are relevant, as you would want the biggest problems with the page to get the most attention. I'm going to watch Patu Keswani and maybe sometime I can improve it, so then most of the tags can be removed. Regards, --AmaryllisGardener talk 14:18, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's not recommended, but that's doesn't mean it's not allowed. Anyway, I see that you took care of two of the tags correctly - which is what I wanted to see. Speedy Climber (talk) 00:35, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

speedy deletion

I;ve had to decline two of your speedy deletions. The criterion for deleting via A7 is no indication of any plausible significance or importance. This is a much looser requirement than for actual notability. A substantial public career is an indication of significance, even if it does not met WP:N. Warnings for rticle Sagar Mohanty

Hi Shrikanthv,

I thank you for taking the time to review and suggest improvements to the Sagar Mohanty article from a third party point of view. I appreciate this because as a new comer to this medium, it helps me learn quickly and better understand the environment. I noticed that two of the warnings were similar and address the same issue of neutrality. It also appears to me after some analysis that I really need to improve this article based on your remarks. Therefore, I will work through these issues one by one. Please also note that as I move along, I will also delete the related warnings. As I wrote elsewhere: when your forefathers were building palaces, my forefathers were building wooden cabins in the swamps. Buddhism is also part of your heritage, and we're thankfull for your heritage. And by the way: Ramana Maharshi saved my soul. Your culture provides knowledge and insight on the non-existence of the "I" which the western culture is painfully lacking. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 09:18, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have nothing against Buddhism, I too follow some of its practices and am also blessed to know about Ramana maharshi, note the problem what i found is not on expanding of the subject or the information, but on crystalising of the information, if your are really a "seeker" as a personnal note would advice to watch this Shrikanthv (talk) 09:35, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Buddhism

Hi Shrikanthv. I don't know if you read my response at my talkpage; I'll copy ithere, and add some more.

"Thanks for your comment on the Buddhist influence on the Mandukya Karika. You're a fair man. The point of departure between Buddhism and Vedanta may be the "motionlessness" of the Absolute. You know this comparison with a moving wheel, and the center which is motionless (I guess you do, since you grew up in Indian culture, and I'm only a reader)? The Absolute, Brahman, Nirvana, is the center. Vedanta sees it as absolutely motionless, while Buddhism emphasises the constructed nature of everything - no absolutes. Or at least, that's what modern Buddhism says. Please read Pre-sectarian Buddhism#Schayer - Precanonical Buddhism, and then tell me how different Buddhism is from Vedanta, or how different it has been made to be from Vedanta."

Also recommended, as a follow-up: Buddha-nature, especially Buddha-nature#Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra. Following some of Blades' diffs on Thigle, I also read a comment by Thigle that Mahayana was the "original Buddhism", and Abhidharmic Buddhism was a later development. I don't know if that's correct, but after reading those two sections mentioned above, you tell me: if this was "the original Buddhism", how different is it from Vedanta? I'd say: not. It was highly surprising for me to realize this, and I still don't know if it is correct; but it's amazing. And take note: I'm not writing here that Vedanta is not different from (Mahayana) Buddhism, I'm writing that this "oldest Buddhism", if the info is correct, is hardly different from Vedanta. Best regards, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 07:34, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may also be interested in this site Zennist. This guy is also arguing that the oldest Buddhism did adhere to some sort of atman, and that Buddhism can't be understood without such an idea. Quote:

"To get down to business, citta is the past participle of √CIT which means "the animating principle of life" (V.S. Apte, The Student's Sanskrit-English Dictionary, p. 208). Western Buddhist scholars are still not here. Citta is too mystical, perhaps. They are still regarding citta as ‘thought’ in the example of bodhi-citta, meaning the “thought of enlightenment.” But in truth, bodhicitta means the animating principle of life that has awakened to itself. Formerly, it was a sleep; under the spell of its phenomena. As Buddha, it has self-awakened. There is nothing higher than this awakening to the very substance of life. When we think of such Buddhist terms as unborn Mind, pure Mind, one Mind, unconditioned Mind, etc., such terms are describing the animating principle of life which has awakened to itself."

Now, Atman/Brahman originally also meant something like the animating principle, didn't it? "Brahm", to grow, to expand. The contemporary English translation of "satcitananda" as "being-consciousness-bliss" may be too simple, losing very important nuances; "consciousness" may be too simple a translation, as if "it" is just a "thing", an object. Food for thought here... Best regards, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 09:09, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

JJ, nice that i come to know, that you are not just staying at the crust , (you have to note that all the above discussion and my talking below are still mind trying to throw its Javelin as far as possible, and we are not talking at the cross section where Buddha achieved Buddha hood),

now on our topic: there is tendencies in Indian Buddhists and Vedantists for ascetism and this has twisted , turned the truths according to its requirement. the same spirit of ascetism (either Buddhistic & Vedantic) considers only one part of the equation "the one without a second" (vedantins ) or as you mentioned "absolutes" (buddhism) but the other part "all is Brahman" as been termed as illusion (maya, Karma) or adopted to the meaning of the first one.(not nullyfying vedantins totally but expanding on the missing part),

Note as you mention above wheel with Nirvana, the absolute or " absolutes" as you term it in the centre, giving a simili let us say you have never seen a ocean , suddenly you see a ocean and at first sight see waves comming at great heights out of it and now declare "ha the ocean is a turbulant entity" now you go near it and go inside it (below into ocean depths) and meet a person who is in perfect peace and declares "ocean is actually at perfect peace, the waves are illusion a mere construction"(vedantins) and the other guy says "their is neither" (buddhist)

"all is Brahman ?"

yes we can go to the depths and be with consciousness of the one "unborn" "pure mind" "awakened to itself" or towards "absolutes"and surely there is nothing beyond it, but terming it or the construction which has come out of it, as an illusion is half part of the story.

(continuing your last sentences) there were two parts before veda"anta" from veda "the path of knowledge" = "Vedanta" and "path of ananda" = "Tantra" or vama marga (not to be confused with tantric traditions of buddhism nor with other derated practises ..), in Tantra focus shifts to prakriti or the pouring of atman into energy, there is action, creation, the ananda of becoming ..... you were right in qouting the difference between vedanta & Buddhisim but as you see above there is much comming Shrikanthv (talk) 12:37, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nice what you say on tantra, action. You know, I've got a small statue of Shiva since I was a student. it's always standing near the side of my bed. Hi Shrikanthv,

I saw your note letting me know you unreviewed the page I created - I was just wondering why you did this? I'm a bit out of the loop on that sort of stuff! Cheers

Hillhouse Capital

I really appreciate your help. the article in question is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillhouse_Capital_Group. thanks again.Jiminycricket55 (talk) 06:46, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
