Knowledge

My knowledge of Te Rata farm and the Hayes Bridge arose from the fact that I was the sole teacher at the tiny Whakahoro School just 3 miles downstream from Te Rata, where I boarded with the Hayes family in 1947. Stanwrite 23:52, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The two photos of the Berryman Bridge were given to me by Margaret Berryman, years before the collapse of the bridge. Stanwrite 02:59, September 8, 2005 (UTC)

Information added on 18 Oct 2005 was furnished to me by letter by Hilary and Ivan Rusling, of Lower Retaruke. Stanwrite 00:10, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Change made on Anzac Day 2006 on the presumed authority of a comment on slidgenz.blogspot pointing out that the two bridges were in fact on the same site, evidenced by remains of towers still visible. Stanwrite 23:27, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stanwrite, neither of those external links works. We will need to remove menton of them from the article, or correct the addresses. Moriori 00:06, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Moriori, I have simplified the reference, which now works. Stanwrite 22:03, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
