Deadbeat is the stage name of Scott Montieth, a Canadian electronica musician. Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Montieth currently works and lives in Berlin.
In addition to his recordings as Deadbeat, Montieth also performs with Steve Beaupré in the duo Crackhaus. Pop singer Athésia appeared as a guest vocalist on Deadbeat's 2005 album New World Observer.
