Following the 2014-15 season the Central Canadian Hockey League Tier 1 initiate a major change to junior hockey development by aligning with the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League and local midget hockey leagues to develop a clear developmental model. The EOJBHL was rebranded the CCHL2, reduced by six franchises, and began setting affiliations. The Brockville Tiki's were initially identified to be one of the franchises to be dropped. However, the new owners of the Brockville Braves also acquired the Tiki's and affiliated the two Brockville hockey teams. |
