*'''Oppose''': The manual uses "Maschinengewehr (Schwarzlose) M. 7" (note parenthesis and space) and not "Schwarzlose M.7". The proper names (in German) are "Maschinengewehr M. 7", "Maschinengewehr Schwarzlose" and "Schwarzlose MG/M.G.". In English, "Schwarzlose machine gun" would be most appropriate, as per article names in [[:Category:Medium machine guns]]. --[[User_talk:Zoupan|Zoupan]] 22:31, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Does anyone know about this weapons blowback operation?.

Balkan Wars of the 1990s

This MG also saw service in the 1990s. --89.49.185.211 (talk) 18:34, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit

I changed 'drum-magazine' to 'box'. I did this because the term could be could be confusing as regards weapons like the Lewis. The normal term for a piece of equipment like this is 'belt-box'. RASAM (talk) 18:44, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I propose we don't really need a separate article for the Kynoch machine gun. As the article creator says, it's "basically a copy". Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 01:35, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got it: merged and redirected to the "Production" section here. Look good, User:Funnyfarmofdoom? (If you even remember you ever saw that article...) Ansh666 00:45, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

a notice

the Schwarzlose machinen gewehr seems to had been a 1905 construction and not a 1907 construction — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.131.242.250 (talk) 20:40, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Origin

While it was assembled in Austria-Hungary it was designed by a German firearms designer, so I wonder if stating that Austria-Hungary is the county of origin in the infobox is correct. What are your thoughts and what are the wikipedia rules in these cases? M11rtinb (talk) 17:53, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Schwarzlose M07/12Schwarzlose M.7 – The official Austro-Hungarian Army designation of the first (M.1907) model was Maschinengewehr Schwarzlose M.7 (Source - army manual). Shouldn't this article be named Schwarzlose M.7 and not by one of its variations, the M.7/12? I understand that more M.7/12s were made because of WWI, but anyway. • Oppose: The manual uses "Maschinengewehr (Schwarzlose) M. 7" (note parenthesis and space) and not "Schwarzlose M.7". The proper names (in German) are "Maschinengewehr M. 7", "Maschinengewehr Schwarzlose" and "Schwarzlose MG/M.G.". In English, "Schwarzlose machine gun" would be most appropriate, as per article names in Category:Medium machine guns. --Zoupan 22:31, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
