Windsor case vs. USA
i've noticed that your botscript reverted the edit (which was itself a revert) of the article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:United_States_v._Windsor#undue_weight_of_dissents
it is sad that otehrwise good content is being trimmed because the other POV doesnt have time to either add to the discussion ir to point out why the existing content is not conscise (seems like 10 lines of content without the quotations are not a lot to add).
Furthermore, the existing edit which your script reverted back to deleted about 85% of original citations direct from the Supreme justices' report.
You wrote you don't have time to edit or summarize, which i understand, but dont let others cut it down just because you dont have time to do anything about it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.85.45 (talk) 06:03, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- There's a process that needs to be followed. Taking 8,000 characters worth of content directly from the court opinion and posting it on Wikipedia with fused in commentary of your own is the highest level of undue weight imaginable. If you are passionate about adding in the content of the dissents properly, then you need to summarize the notable points and have reliable sources attached to the commentary. I don't have a POV problem. You have a misunderstanding of what Wikipedia is, which is not a free-for-all dump for information. I would recommend coming to a an agreement, at the talk page, on the major points of the dissent that can be summarized to have readers get the complete meaning of what it says. I can try to help if I have time but I'm busy at the moment. Teammm talk

Mariah Carey
With all due respect to a fellow editor, none of us can unilaterally declare that Time Inc., the publisher of People, as well as CBS News and the New York Daily News are invalid, unreliable sources. We can't say, "People is incorrect." People would say, "We have professional journalists and fact-checkers." Same with CBS News and, though they probably don't have separate fact-checkers, the Daily News.--Tenebrae (talk) 18:29, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- You need to use the talk page to come to consensus before you change the article. Provide your sources and changes and other editors will provide theirs. It is best to provide up-to-date references because they will be given greater deference. Thank you. Teammm talk

- In fact, there is a discussion, at Talk:Mariah Carey#We cannot give her age without citation. No consensus was reached on either date, so we can't put our own preference in. And the People cite is up-to-date, so I ask that we continue this debate in good faith and not make misleading suggestions.--Tenebrae (talk) 19:17, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- That discussion includes another editor noting that per Parade, another highly reliable source, as recently as 2011 gave 1969. http://www.parade.com/celebrity/hollywood-wire/2011/03/28/mariah-carey-early-contractions.html. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:19, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Believe me, I'm well aware of what we can and cannot do. I've listed a number of the most reliable sources on the talk page and look forward to your review of the content. I agree your efforts are in good faith, but the content is just not accurate given the weight of the sources to the contrary. Teammm talk

Dispute comment
Hi. If it's no bother, could you weight in on this discussion about what I am asserting is a non-neutral revision by another editor? An outside opinion would be greatly appreciated. These POV disputes are pretty contagious with music articles LOL. Dan56 (talk) 21:06, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your request. I have begun a discussion on the talk page as you asked. I would note that the previous discussion suggested that led to the current formulation specifically said "I think we might be onto something here. If there aren't any complaints in the next day or so, I think we should do this." My observations disagreeing with that were posted in that thread within ten hours, so I don't really think that the "consensus" had been as fully achieved as you suggested. That said, I believe we can find a good way forward, one more in line with SPS and RS policy. Capitalismojo (talk) 23:01, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
a question, can this be done?
I added a cover song to Chamuel's discography called "when the world was young". Can I add the code below to this page [3], the song's page ? There has to be value (worthy of note) in renewing the composer's work after 35 years. The code makes a new section for "contemporary recordings".
code: ==Contemporary recordings==
- Michelle Chamuel - released on SoundCloud [1] (2012)
- ^ "Soundcloud - The Reverb Junkie". soundcloud.com. Retrieved August 10, 2013.
Bammesk (talk) 18:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
- I would say no because it doesn't meet WP:MUSIC requirements. I would classify the cover as trivial because it hasn't received sufficient discussion from reliable secondary sources or gained any notoriety at all. If you want to include that in her biography, however, it may be usable. Remember, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Teammm talk

for review
Please review. Currently the word Chamuel is directed per the following :
- Chamuel - is a redirect page as per #REDIRECT [ [ Camael ] ]
- Camael - is an article, its lead states that Camael is also known as Kamuel, Chamuel, Camiel, Camniel
- Seven Archangels - is an article, in its lead section there is a hyperlink to Chamuel as per [ [ Chamuel ] ]
- The “Seven Archangels” article is the only one that hyperlinks to Chamuel. Other than that there are no mentions of Chamuel on any pages.
- Of course there are several articles that mention Camael and hyperlink directly to the Camael article.
I do not see why Chamuel should redirect to Camael. Why should it not redirect to Michelle Chamuel?
Another less relevant consideration is that the Camael article gets 90 hits a day, versus Michelle Chamuel article with 300 hits a day.
I appreciate your input. Bammesk (talk) 04:54, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
Is this a reasonable solution:
- create a page called "Chamuel (angel)" that redirects to Camael
- create a page called "Chamuel (singer)" that redirects to Michelle Chamuel
- edit the current page of "Chamuel" so that it becomes a disambiguation page listing the above 2 choices.
- modify articles that redirect to "Chamuel" (such as the Seven Archangels article) so that they redirect to "Chamuel (angel)" page.

On this page [4], I request a change from existing/old reference [5] to new reference [6]. Advocate for old reference posted here [7], [8] and [9]. Review shows old reference has two mistakes and a COI. "attended congregation for at least several years" is incorrect per [10]. Advocate states attendance is based on two bulletins, can very well be two attendances three years apart. "In Egypt, I was told…" is incorrect, per [11] the author had not been in Egypt as of June 4. Also advocate states the source is not anyone in Egypt. Lastly, advocate admits he has a COI, funding benefit to a non-profit. Given old reference discusses personal information, has mistakes and COI, and is used on a BLP, I request that it be replaced with the new reference. I appreciate your input.Bammesk (talk) 02:40, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your edit, I have no problem with Hawaii going blue, I just want to make sure the article is not misleading, or confusing to readers. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 23:35, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yep, you were right though. When I read how it said that Hawaii is already included in those states that "issue marriage licenses for same-sex couples", it needed to be corrected. Separate sentences cleared that up. Teammm talk

Hello. I am struggling to understand why you reverted the article to an earlier version. Vis-à-vis #Bans on "homosexual propaganda", most of the sources you revert back to (e.g. [12]) are from June 2013, and so cannot possibly support the article's claim that the law had been passed on 30 July. Your revert also removed the {{Cite Russian law}} sources I had added earlier. Again, why do this? Thank-you. It Is Me Here t / c 23:13, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

An exciting month of wiki events!
Hello there,
I am pleased to say that April will be a very exciting month for Wikipedia in Washington, DC. We have a lot of different events coming up, so you will have a lot to choose from.
First, a reminder that our second annual Women in the Arts Edit-a-Thon will take place on Sunday, March 30 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Coming up in April, we have our first-ever Open Government WikiHack with the Sunlight Foundation on April 5–6! We are working together to use open government data to improve the Wikimedia projects, and we would love your help. All are welcome, regardless of coding or editing experience. We will also be having a happy hour the day before, with refreshments courtesy of the Sunlight Foundation.
On Friday, April 11 we are having our first edit-a-thon ever with the Library of Congress. The Africa Collection Edit-a-Thon will focus on the Library's African and Middle East Reading Room. It'll be early in the morning, but it's especially worth it if you're interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of African topics.
The following day, we are having our second annual Wiki Loves Capitol Hill training. We will discuss policy issues relevant to Wikimedia and plan for our day of outreach to Congressional staffers that will take place during the following week.
There are other meetups in the works, so be sure to check our meetup page with the latest. I hope to see you at some of these events!
All the best,
James Hare

Wiki Loves Pride 2014
Hi Teammm. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:04, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Invitation
Hello, Teammm,
The Editing team is asking for your help with VisualEditor. I am contacting you because you were one of the very first testers of VisualEditor, back in 2012 or early 2013. Please tell them what they need to change to make VisualEditor work better for you. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.
You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.
More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

New question raised regarding Talk:Hillary Rodham Clinton/April 2015 move request
Some opposers of this move have now contended that there is a "Critical fault in proposal evidence", which brings the opinions expressed into question. Please indicate if this assertion in any way affects your position with respect to the proposed move. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:36, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!
- What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
- When? June 2015
- How can you help?
- 1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
- 2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
- 3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)
Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.
Thanks, and happy editing!
