Benjamín Rausseo, a.k.a. Er Conde del Guácharo (born 1961) is a Venezuelan humorist.
Most of his humor is inspired by:
- Politics of Venezuela (Hugo Chávez, like previous Venezuelan presidents, has been the butt of his humor)
- Political laws. Besides doing stand-up comedy, he also studies Law during his free time. He has jokingly stated in some of his live shows recorded on CD that he wanted to become a lawyer because he "…wanted to know how it felt to be such a cold-hearted bastard".
- His family life, mostly relating to his wife, kids, sisters, parents, close friends and even his mother-in-law.
- Pop culture
- Religion. He often joked about certain events that have or should've occurred in Venezuela during the second arrival of Pope John Paul II in 1996. The jokes weren't directed to the pope, but rather to the government of Rafael Caldera, the Venezuelan President of that time.
- Popular music
- His numerous trips to the United States. He also brags about the amount of English that he knows in front of his friends when in reality he speaks mostly Spanglish while in the U.S.
- The Military of Venezuela
- Toilet humor
And many other things based on his everyday life. He's also a very talented musician, he frequently plays the cuatro. When he is not on stage performing his stand-up routine, he's a serious man in person and is very dedicated to his family.
