Atri, Abruzzo

I have written an article for the city of Atri, in Abruzzo Region in Italy. Before I started I searched for Atri, and found an article about a Greek god. So, I called my article Atri, Abruzzo". After saving the article, I found another stub for Atri, Italy. When I do a search now for Atri, I only get the article about the Greek god, and no reference to either "Atri, Abruzzo" or "Atri, Italy". Questions: can the Atri, Abruzzo article be made the primary reference for this city? and "Can the article be indexed so that if someone searches for "Atri" they will find the city reference as well as the Greek god reference?
