Thomson Andrews (born 25 September 1987 in Mumbai, India) is an Indian R&B singer-songwriter, performer and recording artist. He received training in Hindustani Classical singing from Pandit Krishna Bhatt. Apart from performing live,[1][2] he also lends his voice to Hindi and Tamil movies and jingles.
Career
Thomson won a gospel talent show in 2007. He performed with various bands and choral groups in Mumbai and overseas for several years, while working in the corporate sector and in schools as a music teacher. Thomson started off in Bollywood by singing backing vocals in movies like Jhootha Hi Sahi (2010), D-Day and on the soundtrack album for the 2013 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag under music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy as well as MTV Coke Studio (India) in Season 2.[3] The following year he recorded "Shehar Mera" for the movie One By Two which released in January 2014. Thomson also sang "Rumani", a duet with Shalmali Kholgade in the movie Akaash Vani. Apart from Bollywood productions, he has also sung with music director M. Ghibran in the song "Saridhaana Saridhaana" from the Tamil movie Amara Kaaviyam.
Thomson launched his debut single, People Ain’t Things, in April 2014.[4]
