Mohand Chérif Hannachi (born April 2, 1950 in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria) is a former Algerian football player and current chairman of Algerian club JS Kabylie. He has been the team chairman since his election in 1993.[1] He is assumed by many to be a hand of the Algerian regime (Département du Renseignement et de la Sécurité - DRS) in Kabylie province which has been the stronghold of polticial contestation and struggle for democracy and human rights in Algeria since Algeria obtained its independence in 1962.
