Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (often referred to only as "Laguna Beach") is a reality TV show documenting the lives of several affluent teenagers living in Laguna Beach, California, a wealthy community in Orange County. The show contains similar themes as the FOX hit teen drama The O.C. (hence the title). It differs from most other reality shows in that it is structured as somewhat more of a traditional narrative than a documentary. Each episode is unscripted yet the "plot" is planned in advance.[citation needed]

Lauren "Lo" Bosworth
Lauren Ogilvie Bosworth (born 1 July 1986 in Laguna Beach, California), also known as "Lo", was a cast member of the first two seasons of Laguna Beach. She has an older sister, Erin, and a younger brother, Christian. She is of English and Scottish descent.
Lo's parents were stricter than other cast members' parents, and she did not attend the trip to Catalina or Cabo.
During the first season (2004), Lo was a senior. On the show she was best friends with former cast-mate, Lauren Conrad. However, since starting college, the two have grown apart. Lo currently resides in the Three Arches Bay gated community in southern Laguna Beach. She is currently attending the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and is a communications major, and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Despite many Xanga and MySpace profiles and other weblogs attributed to her, Lo has stated numerous times that she does not have any on line profile of any sort and that they are all fake. She did have a MySpace profile for a brief period of time, which was set on private mode, however she has since deleted the account.
Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Elizabeth Cavallari (born January 14, 1987) was a cast member for both the first and second seasons. She has an older brother, Sam. Before moving to Laguna Beach, Kristin lived in Connecticut, Colorado, and Barrington, Illinois. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her father Dennis, an apartment developer with Legacy Partners, in Laguna Beach. She is currently the model spokesperson for Bongo clothing line.
During the first season of Laguna Beach, Kristin dated fellow castmate Stephen Colletti, causing Lauren Conrad, a childhood friend of Stephen who also liked him, to become jealous. Kristin instantly became a fan favorite of viewers due to her incessant drama, bitchy attitude, handle on men, and beauty. Her two best friends on the show, Alex Hooser and Jessica Smith, were also cast members of the second season. Kristin is currently attempting to break into the world of acting.
Kristin lived with her parents in Colorado, until her parents divorced. Her dad moved to Laguna Beach, California with her brother, and she moved to Illinois with her mother. She also has a step-father and step-brother there. She acted out while there to get attention, and after her mother couldn't handle it anymore she moved to Laguna to be with her dad and brother. Her freshman year she attended a Catholic school with the uniforms to boot. But that year she took Driver's Education at Laguna High School, where she met Alex M. and the rest of the Laguna Beach cast. She convinced her Dad to let her switch to the public school starting her sophomore year. She is one of the few castmates who is not originally from the area. She was a good student at Laguna Beach High School graduating with a 3.8 GPA as she stated in one of the episodes of season 2.
She aspires to be either a talk show hostess or a news anchorwoman. Ranked #8 on Reality TV Magazine's List of The Greatest Female Reality Stars of 2005. She was slated to a co-host for a show on UPN called Get This Party Started, but it was canceled after only two episodes. She was on the cover of Seventeen, had sexy photos in Rolling Stone and has appeared on numerous television talk shows. She attended VH1's Big in '05 Awards, as a nominee for the "it girl" of 2005, which eventually went to Lindsay Lohan.
Stephen Colletti
Stephen August Colletti (born 13 February 1986 in Laguna Beach, California), a main character of seasons 1 & 2, found himself in a love triangle between childhood friend Lauren Conrad and junior Kristin Cavallari.
A native of Laguna Beach, Stephen was dating Kristin towards the beginning of season 1, and she often visited him at his workplace, Laguna Surf and Sport. On the trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, however, Stephen was enraged with Kristin after she danced provocatively on a table and appeared visibly intoxicated. Consequently, he yet again drifted to Lauren. Despite this, Stephen did ask Kristin to his senior prom. At the end of season 1, Stephen attended San Francisco State University to study radio and television, accompanied by "LC" who was studying fashion. He is now dating high school junior and teen-actress Hayden Panettiere, who appeared in "Raising Helen" and "Ice Princess". Currently he is studying acting and no longer lives in San Francisco. Stephen is also one of the VJ's on Total Request Live. Height: 5'10.
Lauren "LC" Conrad
Lauren Katherine Conrad (born February 1 1986 in Laguna Beach, California), also known as "LC", was the narrator and a major cast member of the first season of Laguna Beach. Lauren enjoys designing and went to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, for one semester. After that she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She is currently interning with Teen Vogue, and has her own reality show on MTV, The Hills. Lauren Conrad or "L.C.", as her friends call her was born on February 1st, 1986 in Newport Beach, California, to Katherine and Jim Conrad. Lauren has grown up in the beautiful city of Laguna Beach. She and her friends enjoy going to the beach, shopping and eating out. Lauren has had an interest in fashion design since 7th grade. After graduating from Laguna Beach High School, she decided to attend "Academy of Art University" and major in Fashion Design. After completing one semester, she realized that the school and San Francisco were not a good fit for her. So she moved back home and attended FIDM in Irvine, California. She got an intern position at "3 Dots" (clothing line) in LA. She is now living in LA and attending FIDM's LA campus majoring in Fashion Design. She has an intership at Teen Vogue and she is currently dating another former Laguna Beach cast member, Jason Wahler. Her father is an architect in Laguna Beach, California. Her father designed her family's entire home. Her younger sister, Breanna, will be the star of the third season of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004).
Morgan Olsen
Morgan was born in 1986. Together with her best-friend Christina Schuller, she was in Season One and two episodes of Season Two (Christina was featured in more episodes of Season Two) where Morgan was the "good/innocent" girl. She often stood out from the rest of the cast because of her decision to abstain from pre-marital sex.
Although she had no plans to audition for the show or had any desire to do Laguna Beach, she was influenced by her friend "Gary" to try out. At the moment she is attending Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, which was the only university that she applied for; she says her favorite university is NYU. Height: 5'3". She moved to Laguna during her Senior year.
Trey Phillips
Charles Trey Phillips (born 15 September 1986 in Los Angeles, California) played an active role in Laguna Beach charities and fundraising, often seen organizing events. Is very passionate about politics and activism. Trey has a non-profit organization called Active Young Americans. His university of choice would be NYU.
Trey attended Bard College for two years. Trey has a love for trucker hats which he designs. He lives in NYC (according to an interview with LC) and he is active in events such as protests.
Christina Schuller
Christina Michelle Schuller (born September 8, 1986 in Orange County, California) is the daughter of the Crystal Cathedral's Reverend Dr. Robert Anthony Schuller. Christina is a trained singer. On the show she went to New York with Morgan for support to audition for broadway but didn't make it. She is currently attending the University of Southern California. Her goal was to try out for her big audition in New York but not being able to make it, she still continues her goal of becoming an actress.
Talan Torriero
Talan Christopher Torriero (born 2 November 1986 in Markham, Ontario [1]) was an original cast member from Season 1 while still a high school junior. Although he had professed his love for Taylor at the beginning of Season 2, he continued to hook-up with Kristin on numerous occasions, including the night he revealed his feelings to Taylor. This made Taylor extremely angry and led to argument while the two were at the beach. While Talan and Taylor still ended up as dates to the winter formal dance, Talan accompanied Kristin to the senior prom, where the tables were turned when Talan witnessed Kristin flirting with other guys and otherwise ignoring him. Late in his senior year, Talan dropped out, and earned a GED instead.
Talan currently resides in L.A. and is pursuing an acting career as well as working on an album. He was briefly engaged to Rod Stewart's daughter, Kimberly Stewart, in 2005 but the couple has since broken up.
He is currently dating Pussycat Doll lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger.
He is the only person in Laguna Beach with a Canadian ancestry. (Stephen also has relatives in Canada)

Taylor Cole
Taylor Lauren Cole (born 12 February 1987 in Orange County, California) is from Season 2. Her best friend is fellow cast member Alex Murrel. At times, she and Kristin Cavallari couldn't stand each other, but they both consider each other friends. Their link to Talan Torriero is said to be the major cause of the trouble in their relationship. This caused a major fight between the two.
She currently attends the University of Arizona and is an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Alex Murrel
Alexandra Leah Murrel (born 27 January 1987 in Orange County, California) is from season 2 of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She was best friends with Taylor Cole. Alex served in the season's love triangle, which included Jessica Smith, Jason Wahler, and herself. Jason was going out with Jessica until Alex went to Winter Formal with Jason.
Alex M. shares an apartment in West Hollywood with close friends Alex Hooser and Britany "Britt" Delano. She also modeled for a Bongo campaign with fellow LB stars Kristin Cavallari, Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Jason, and Talan Torriero. At the same time, Alex has started to record a music album, pursuing her life long dream of becoming a singer. The self titled album is set for release on 22 August 2006
Alex is currently dating badboy Backstreet Boy member Nick Carter and will appear on his reality show set to air on E! later this year
Jessica Smith
Jessica Renee Smith (born 15 September 1987 in Phoenix, Arizona).
During Season 1, Jessica was a minor character as Kristin Cavalleri's friend and Dieter Schmitz's girlfriend. During season 2, Jessica briefly dated Jason Wahler, but the two broke up after she could no longer handle his wandering eyes. Her role increased as the second season progressed and she soon became one of the major characters on the show.
Let’s Go Travel Guides has hired the Laguna Beach star to be a spokesperson. She will travel to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin from March 10-20, 2006, and post daily entries and photos on her blog at http://www.letsgojessica.com.
Jason Wahler
Jason Daniel Wahler (born 11 January 1987 in Orange County, California) is a bearded surfer who seems to be the cause of many problems and drama on the show. His relationship with Jessica was rocky as he affaired with Alex M., which caused a rift between her and Jessica. He later dated Lauren Conrad (L.C.), but was caught kissing Jessica at L.C.'s fashion show and she broke up with him later that night, after witnessing the kiss herself. After the breakup, they were seen together and have been back together since August 2005. Jason has been appearing as Lauren's boyfriend on her show The Hills. The show has detailed their renewed relationship.

Cameron Brinkman
Cameron Warren Brinkman (born 30 January 1989)
For big man on campus Cameron, junior year is all about surfing, partying, faux-hawks, and hanging out with best buds Chase and Kelan. he's an All-American water polo player, but doesn't need to choose sides when it comes to his social life: he's just as at home with Kyndra, Lexie and Cami as he is with Rocky and tessa. And then there's a certain "older woman" (Season 2 vet Jessica Smith) to keep him busy.
Cameron "Cami" Edwards
Cameron Michelle Edwards (born 24 March 1989 in Orange County, California). Cami is a junior and Kyndra's best friend. Along with Lexie, the girls are self-appointed trendsetters of Laguna Beach High. Cami has style, confidence and attitude to spare -- all of which she uses when it comes to keeping Laguna's hot guys (especially Cameron, Chase and Kelan) in their court.
Note: Cami was Jason Wahler's Senior Prom date in Season 2.
Breanna Conrad
Breanna Conrad (Born August 23, 1989 in Laguna Beach, California) As LC's younger sister, it should come as no surprise that Breanna attracts her fair share of drama. With her friendship with Rocky on the outs, the year is shaping up to be a tough one. Not to mention the fact that she and Tessa tend to be attracted to the same guys.

Kelan Obrian Hurley (born 28 July 1987 in Orange County, California).
Kelan is a senior and plays guitar in Open Air Stereo. When he and Chase aren't writing songs, rehearsing, performing and planning their band's future, they hang with Cameron and his crew.

Tessa Keller
Tessa Nicole Keller (born 20 March 1989 in Orange County, California).
It might look like Tessa has the perfect life, but high school has been hard for her, and she's only a junior. Tessa had a serious illness that landed her in the hospital. There were only a few people she'd allow to see her. One of them; her friend, Chase.
Kyndra Mayo
Kyndra Alyse Mayo (born 29 June 1989 in Orange County, California).
With the best party hosue, the right clothes and tons of money to spend, Kyndra is the reigning queen of Laguna, ruling the school with best friends Cami and Lexie. She loves the attention she gets from Cameron, Kelan and Chase but watch out -- getting over her ex-boyfriend Tyler could be a problem.
Chase Johnson
Chase is a junior and the lead singer of Open Air Stereo, Laguna's very own rock band. Although Chase and his bandmate Kelan live for their music, he still finds time to give lifelong friend Tessa a shoulder to cry on when she needs it.
Alexandra "Lexie" Contursi
Like her cohorts Cami and Kyndra, Lexie's got what it takese to get the guys' attention. Still, her stunning good looks will only get her so far when it comes to her ultimate goal of becoming a professional dancer. Lexie and Breanna's families go way back to when they were toddlers.
Raquel "Rocky" Donatelli

Lauren Alexandria Hooser (born 14 November 1986 in San Diego County, California) was a supporting cast member on the MTV reality drama series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County during the show's first two seasons as one of cast member Kristin Cavalleri's two best friends. Despite her supposed snub in the show's opening credits, Alex often appeared with the start of almost every episode, especially in the second season, and shared more airtime than the other main cast members such as Talan Torriero, Taylor Cole and Jason Wahler. In one of the show's later episodes from the second season, Alex mentioned of her plans to attend college in Santa Monica, California. She lives with Alex Murrel in L.A.
Dieter Blair Schmitz (born 21 December 1985 in Orange County, California). Dieter was identified as fellow castmate Stephen Colletti's "wingman" and LC's best guy friend in season one. He also dated cast mate Jessica before he went away for college.
Dieter has started a charity for teens, "Running Home 4 Teens".
Casey Beau Reinhardt (born 1 July 1986 in Los Angeles County, California) is a model, actress, and charity spokeswoman, but is more popularly known for her role in the second season of the reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
Casey has appeared in numerous beauty pageants. In 2003, she participated in the Miss California Teen USA (in which she placed first-runner up), the Miss Orange County Teen USA (in which she was named Miss Congeniality), and the Hawaiian Tropic Teen Miss 2003 (in which she won Front Cover Girl, Photogenic Award, Personality Plus Award, Most Beautiful Hair Award, Most Beautiful Eyes Award, Best Smile Award, Best Model Award) pageants. In addition, Casey is very active in charities.
She is currently studying at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California to be a child-care technician, and is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
