Washington County Commuter Rail is a proposed 14.7 mile commuter rail line in suburban Portland, Oregon, United States, along the Oregon State Route 217 corridor. The trains will operate on weekdays in both directions (peak and reverse peak direction) on existing freight rail tracks operated by the Portland & Western Railroad. After years of delays due to struggles over funding, the line is scheduled to open in Fall 2008 serving Wilsonville, Tualatin, Tigard and Beaverton (where the commuter rail line will connect with the existing MAX light rail system). Construction will begin in mid-2006 and has already received the endorsement of the Federal Transit Administration who will fund approximately 50% of the line's capital costs.

Equipment
Five Colorado Railcar Diesel multiple unit cars have been ordered for use on the line (three powered, two un-powered "dummy cars").
Future Extensions
An extension of the line further south to Salem has been proposed.
