Full name: Todd Williams

Just a ordinary guy that uses Wikipedia and thinks he might be able to add something constructive or useful to others. (Current creation.)

I like to read, bicycle, play guitar and build things. I run my own consulting company and, as most succinctly put by a friend one time, I am an "anal retentive, tenacious, ass-hole".

My contributions (grouped by 'project'):

Books

[edit]

Novels

[edit]

Franz Kafka I started on the Kafka kick after reading The Castle and then realizing there were other translations and that it seemed a be the general opinion that the translation that I read was "wrong". Yet that translation brought Kafka his "English" fame. It was apparent that there were levels of education here that the novel was only a part of - a major part - but only a part none the less.

Project Management/Management

[edit]

My goal in representing these books is to provide value to the reader at two levels and to me at one. To the reader I want to have enough information show what the book is about, and without providing an opinion of the book, allow the reader to make decision on whether they should read it. The second value is a set of notes do that after reading the book they may return here and have a set of notes that will remind them of the key points to help them in the future.

For me, this is a great way to make sure I have picked up what i need from the book and forces mw to be non-biased. These books are "reviewed" in my newsletter, where I do give an opinion, these creates a foundation of neutrality.
