This is a list of eminent personalities from Sengunthar or Kaikkolar, a caste found in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and in Northern province of Sri Lanka

Nayanmars

Nayanmars were pious devotees of Lord Siva

  • Dandi Adigal Nayanar,[1] Nayanmar from Tiruvarur of the then Chola Kingdom
  • Kanampulla Nayanar,[2] a wealthy merchant from Irukkuvelur (now called as Belur in the District of Salem). He used to cut grass, sell it and purchase ghee with the money and burn the lamps. As he had cut grass (Kanampul), he was known as Kanampulla Nayanar
