Rio Rico is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, United States. The population was 18,962 at the 2010 census.

Geography

Rio Rico is located at 31°31′37″N 110°58′43″W / 31.52694°N 110.97861°W / 31.52694; -110.97861 (31.526941, -110.978729).[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 62.3 square miles (161.2 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 18,962 people residing in the CDP. The population density was 304.6 people per square mile (117.6/km²). There were 6,356 housing units at an average density of 102.1 per square mile (39.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 71.05% White, 0.40% Black or African American, 0.64% Native American, 0.50% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 25.56% from other races, and 1.81% from two or more races. 85.32% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
