Ranjit Bawa is a Punjabi singer . He is known for his Punjabi songs. He was born in wadala granthian village near Gurdaspur. He rose to fame from his single "Jatt Di akal" which broke many records in Punjab. He made his debut in the 2015 Album, Mitti Da Bawa. He has also received "PTC Best Folk oriented Song Award" in 2013 for his Song in 2013 , Jatt Di Akal.[1]


EARLY LIFE

He was connected with the music since his childhood. He used to sing songs in his school days too. In Class 6, he sang a song at his school for which he was praised by his teachers and others. Then his music teacher Master Mangal trained him and he motivated him to participate in music competitions. While, Ranjit Bawa was doing his graduation from Guru Nanak College, Batala, and post-graduation at Khalsa College, Amritsar, Ranjit Bawa participated in many singing competitions came first each competition for six years in series. In an interview Ranjit Bawa says “For those six years, I sang a Pakistani song, Bol Miti Deya Baweya, which made me popular as ‘Bawa’. That is why, he is also known as Bawa.[2]

EDUCATIONAL DETAILS

He has done his graduation from Guru Nanak College, Batala. He has done his post graduation in music from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.[3]
