Kehena is a narrow black sand beach located on the east shore of the island of Hawaii. Spinner dolphins frequent this beach. This also sometimes gives it the name dolphin beach. To access the beach you must hike down and there is no lifeguard[1].
Formation
The beach was formed in a 1955 lava flow[2]. There is a point of rocks one one end of the beach that marks where the flow ended.
Nudity
Kehena beach is one of the few beaches in Hawaii that allows nudity. People take advantage of this policy at Kehena beach.
