Visitors to Kuwait must obtain a visa unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries eligible for visa on arrival.[1] All visitors except GCC citizens must hold a passport valid for 6 months. Nationals of Israel or any other person holding a passport containing any Israeli stamp or visa issued by Israel is banned from entering the country.

Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa to visit Kuwait and may use National ID Cards to enter the country:
Nationals of China holding normal passports endorsed for public affairs do not require a visa.
Holders of diplomatic or official passports of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, China, Egypt, Honduras, Ireland, Malta, Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Turkey, United Kingdom and Vietnam and just diplomatic passports of Armenia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Tajikistan and Ukraine also do not require a visa.
Visa on arrival
Citizens of the following 53 countries and territories may obtain a visa valid for 3 months on arrival to Kuwait if arriving by air:[7]
1 - Except Croatia.
Passengers arriving by sea or land must obtain visa in advance.[8]
Entry ban
Nationals of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen are barred from entering Kuwait due to "difficult security conditions" in those countries.[9] Citizens of Bangladesh are also barred from entering Kuwait. Citizens of Pakistan are only issued issuing family and commercial visas.[10]
Additionally entry and transit is refused to Israeli citizens, even if not leaving the aircraft and proceeding by the same flight.[11]
