THE ARTICLE HAS BEEN REJECTED - AND YET YOU WRITE IN THE GUIDELINES TAHT THE SUBJECT SHOULD MEET AT LEAST ONE
of the following:
Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a notable composition- MAURO PATRICELLI HAS BEEN CREDITED AS HE RELEASED SEVERAL OPERAS, REFERENCES ON PAGE CONFRIM THIS! Has written musical theatre of some sort (includes musicals, operas, etc.) that was performed in a notable theatre that had a reasonable run as such things are judged in their particular situation and time. - MAURO PATRICELLI HAS RELEASED SEVERAL OPERAS, REFERENCES ON PAGE CONFRIM THIS!

- MpMe2015 Happenning to look in, one thing that would help is to remove the promotional language/ We describe, not praise. Another is to cite every item, as we do for bios of living people. A third is to remove the list of composers who have influenced him, unless there are third party sources for each one. And which ofhis works havereceived morethan a single performance? And which of his recordings have won prizes or even been reviewed? DGG ( talk ) 17:31, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi can you please give me a ballpark figure of how many more sources I need? And if there are any other issues with the page?
- Rkc1818 Looking in, it's not just a question of how many , but that they need to be references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements. What you have are mere listings. DGG ( talk ) 17:34, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

18 Nov 2015 review of submission by User:Sam Parsons 1981
Hello, I noticed that you declined the article Draft:Missrepresent for now on the grounds that it does not have enough independent sources. A user called YellowFig39 came into IRC asking about it, I assume it's the same person as User:Sam Parsons 1981. I decided to ask you to elaborate. Here are a list of domains where information is sourced from. The ones I regard as independent are marked in bold. The ones I doubt on sight I didn't mark as bold.
- missrepresent.com
- twitter.com (social network profile)
- taipeitimes.com
- soundcloud.com (music host of subject)
- nicetalent.co.uk (booking site for artist among others)
- mobygames.com
- formationrecords.databeats.com (record label owned by others)
- beatport.com (sells artist's music)
- welovejungle.com
- junodownload.com (currently malformed in the article, doesn't link to right search, does not back claim that subject runs Sliced Note Recordings)
- dnbmuzik.com
- facebook.com (National Drum and Bass Awards results 2012)
- djmag.com
- bbc.co.uk
- scunthorpenights.co.uk
- flavourmag.co.uk
- pump-audio.com
Many of these also host interviews conducted and published by third party online newspapers and music enthusiast sites. It would be very helpful if you please elaborate on how many more independent sources this article needs. There seem to be a lot compared to the conventions on other articles. Thank you. --BurritoBazooka (talk) 11:49, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

18:33:07, 18 November 2015 review of submission by P. Utopia
Hello. The reason I am making this request is because if I compare the article I'm trying to submit to the article of Women On Web (that is an organisation that makes the exact same work as Women Help Women https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_on_Web) the page I'm trying to submit is more complete, with better citations and with more articles proving visibility. The used criteria doesn't seem to be the same. Thank you for your attention.

Hey David, this is the first wikipedia page I've attempted to make so I'm hoping you can shed a little extra light for me. Has the page been rejected because I simply did not cite enough sources or is there a certain claim / language that needs to be revised? Any direction advice you can give me, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, 2601:480:8501:BA00:608A:5CAA:F471:B2F4 (talk) 19:53, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Help with Connie Fournier Draft
Thanks for reviewing my submission at Draft:Connie_Fournier. I have cleaned up the draft so that the reference show better how she is notable. She is more of an activist than an author and I believe the references show she meets guidelines.
Some of these references have her by another name (Connie Wilkins). If it is possible to take a closer look at the article and let me know what, if anything, needs improved I would appreciate it. Thank you again for the original advice and I look forward to your comments. Thanks again. --Finnythedog (talk) 22:03, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Avata666 (talk) 22:27, 18 November 2015 (UTC)Thanks for you review and the comments!
I made all the suggested changes and added a lot of official references. I got help from the live chat and got green light from there.
The title/rank of Studienrat is still a part of the Austrian and German Beamte System and a very important part of Austrian and German history. Even in movies or historic articles or official documents the rank/title of Studienrat is always mentioned.
A lot of foreign students get in contact with holders of the title/rank of Studienrat at University and trying to get informations about it. Adding this article will help understanding the German education system and history.
You rejected it, the original author just moved it. I presume the next step would be an AFD?Naraht (talk) 22:34, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Swister Twister. First of all, thank you for taking your time to review my article. However, I'm still not quite sure why my references are inadequate. I consider my cited sources are quite notable like Reuter, Bloomberg, Financial Times, and Bangkok Post (The most popular English newspaper in Thailand). Perhaps you can help clarify a bit more so that I can move forward in the right direction. Thank you so much.
- APpagekeeper The article seems interesting and has potential but I'm simply not sure if there are enough sources to satisfy companies notability guidelines. SwisterTwister talk 04:12, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
Help with a Page Blanker
Sorry to disturb you, but we have been having some trouble with the Odinism page. The reasons are unclear, but one editor keeps trying to erase the entire page or make it disappear. (Also, she keeps attacking the people editing it). Any suggestions? Thanks. --Holtj (talk) 05:46, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- I am the editor in question, and must warn you that Holtj is being disingenous. I must point out that Holtj is under a sock puppet investigation, with one of their alleged socks, User:ThorLives, also being a persistent disruptive editor currently the subject of a community discussion regarding a topic ban. (Indeed, the Holtj account appears to have been re-activated to avoid the current scrutiny on the ThorLives account). This editor has created a travesty in the form of the Odinism article (replete with non-referenced information and non-reliably referenced information), all with the intent of creating a WP:Coatrack for the main Heathenry (new religious movement) article, which they are deeply unhappy with because it doesn't present the religion to which they subscribe in a way that they approve of. Their attempts to enlist you to their side in this debate reflects the fact that they have been unable to find support for their actions anywhere else. Best, Midnightblueowl (talk) 10:59, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Wow! Anyway, she keeps trying to blank the page (when she is not attacking editors.) Any suggestions? --Holtj (talk) 06:58, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Landeswettbewerb Mathematik Baden-Württemberg...
Geschichte

Woodcraft Supply draft
Is there anything that can be added to help prove notability and make this draft page go live? WinCo Foods is a similar size chain to Draft:Woodcraft_Supply, however, there are many more sources referencing Woodcraft stores or magazine, including some larger publications such as The New York Times. In addition to the US stores, the magazine and catalog give Woodcraft an international footprint across 117 countries. Woodcraft is certainly notable within the woodworking industry and for hobbyists. In that context it seems odd that it is not already included in Wikipedia (I suppose there may not be a big cross-over of woodworking enthusiasts and Wikipedia contributors). 19 Nov review of submission by T McNellis on Kami Lyle
Thanks for the quick review, David, and I have spent some time looking through (again) the notability guidelines as well as the GNG. I'm admittedly a newbie when it comes to this, and the extensive thought that went into creating the guidelines is very interesting and thought provoking, but I readily welcome your help and guidance. Realizing now that notability is not merely a popularity contest (i.e. sheer number of references) I took a hard look at the quality of the references and am in the process of pulling out references that are weak, and adding more independent references. In general, is there a rule of thumb for a musician regarding selection of the type and quantity of references? Tmcnellis15 (talk) 02:44, 20 November 2015 (UTC) Tmcnellis15 (talk) 02:52, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks... I've made the updates after spending some time reviewing additional sources. Let me know if you think I over-did it (i.e. too much quantity)! Tmcnellis15 (talk) 04:22, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Request on 07:26:19, 20 November 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Rburtonresearch
Hi. The submission of my draft of "The Elements of Sound" has been declined with the message "This looks more like a journal report rather than a formal encyclopaedia article". I would appreciate it if you would advise me of how to turn it into an encyclopaedia article. Should I use the same format as "the elements of Art"? Is there a different model I should use?
Is there something wrong with the information? I can assure you it is well researched.
Perhaps the use of the expression of "the elements" needs to be elaborated and differentiated between definitions of rudimentary elements and perceptual elements. The intent is to identify a list of discrete elements of sound which are both comprehensive (make up all forms of sound) and can be independently manipulated.
Similar definitions can be found in a variety of areas:
law: element of a crime (or element of an offense) is one of a set of facts that must all be proven to convict a defendant of a crime
Chemical element, a pure substance consisting of one type of atom in mathematics, an element, or member, of a set is any one of the distinct objects that make up that set. in philosophy Classical elements, the ancient belief about the fundamental types of matter (usually four in number), expressed in their Aristotelian forms as fire, earth, air, and water Rburtonresearch (talk) 07:26, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Rburtonresearch (talk) 07:26, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- Rburtonresearch If you want you can base it from elements of art but also feel welcome and encouraged to make even better than that, I would suggest seeing WP:Writing better articles and WP:Your first article which has some helpful information and also simply overall making the current draft better. Cheers! SwisterTwister talk 07:37, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello
Thank you for your review. I don't understand why the sources www.sikart.ch which is a scientific portal of the SIK-ISEA, the international recognized swiss institute for art research shouldn't be a reliable source. The same goes to the Fotostiftung Schweiz (www.fotostiftung.ch). Can you explain me that? I found several swiss photographers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Swiss_photographers) which do have the same reliable sources and are published since long ago in the EN-wikipedia. How could this happen? Did the criteria chance? Concerning the notability of the photographer: He won several times the Swiss Art Award (1974, 1976, 1983, 1985), did more than one Art Stipend in the States and elsewhere and got exhibitions in the States (like New Museum, NY), Germany, France, Belgium, Italy (Biennial of Venice), and Switzerland.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards
Joachim
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule.
- I wasn't actually emphasizing about that, I was emphasizing the need for any more available third-party sources overall. Cheers Jmsieber, SwisterTwister talk 08:27, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing my article. I am asking that you accept the article with the references I have listed. I am quite certain that any other references I could possibly locate would be either unreliable in regards to accuracy or simply copied from the sources I have listed. I am referring to the MPHA website in particular as it is the official online site of the Mountain Pleasure Horse breed association and is maintained by individuals committed to accurately presenting historic and current events pertaining to the breed. The non-url references are taken from vintage publications which are few and difficult to come by. In writing this article, I have attempted to locate and reference all known documentation in order to write a complete and accurate article and I do hope Wikipedia will accept it as written. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.MountainPleasure (talk) 11:08, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Hadyn Ellis
You declined the new page about the academic Draft:Hadyn Ellis on the grounds of not being a notable person. He was an academic and this is what the notable guidelines say about academics: Wikipedia:Notability (academics). Of the critieria listed he meets at least 4 of them.
Further: He even has a building named after him - surely that is a sufficient secondary source. He coined a term which is now a major sub discipline of psychology.
Does this make him sufficiently notable?Psy7k (talk) 11:32, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

I think the fate of that article was the result of a series of misunderstandings and mistakes (as you can see from the article's history). I propose returning the article to the student's userspace, and making sure that they understand how they should proceed (ie, don't move it to mainspace in this state). Hi! Our company page has been declined again Draft: Envision Energy, in which you said we need more third-party sources. How many more do you need? There isn't a lot of media coverage online about our business, since we are in a traditional B2B industry with a lot of things happening offline. Confused Regarding Rejection of Submission
Thank you for taking the time to read my submission for a Wikipedia article. The feedback I received for rejection was due to the subject not being notable enough for inclusion. The subject's bands are extremely popular, they are currently performing in sold out arenas, one of the subject's bands has their own Wikipedia article already, which references this subject. Another band member also has his own Wikipedia page. The subject is endorsed by a major drum manufacturing company, the subject's albums are available for download on iTunes, etc. Many other bands/band members related to the subject are also widely available on Wikipedia. All of this information has been referenced in the article I submitted. If the issue is improper referencing I'm happy to oblige if you would be more specific about what the concern is. Simply saying the subject is not notable enough doesn't quite seem to fit the bill. The subject is all over YouTube, has been interviewed for Natural High, performed at Warped Tour. The subject's achievements are more than notable. Less notable individuals have articles of their own. Would you please clarify further what is considered notable if this individual does not fit the bill?

Hello - you have rejected my efforts for the Olga Jegunova article - I posted a question to you asking for more detailed help as I have listed 12 references many of which are independent - but! My question has disappeared from your list and so I do not know if you replied! Can you repost your reply please?!
