Emma Snowsill was born on 15 June 1981 on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia where she resides. She is a multiple World Champion Triathlete and Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist and is widely regarded as the greatest female Triathlete of her generation and one of the greatest of all time.

Emma won the 2000 International Triathlon Union[ITU]World Championship in the 16-20years age category plus the Gold Medal at the 2000 Sydney Youth Olympic Festival Triathlon at age 19. She was awarded a Scholarship with the Australian Institute of Sport [AIS and was voted 16-19 years female Triathlete of the Year 2000.

She won the open elite women's 'ITU World Championship' held in Queenstown NZL in 2003. She was the 2004 'ITU World Cup Champion' and ranked Number 1 in the world. She was selected for the 2004 Athens Olympics, but she did not compete. She won the open elite women's 'ITU World Championship' held in Gamagori Japan in 2005. She has won the Chicago Triathlon, City of Los Angeles Triathlon, Greater London Triathlon, Noosa Triathlon and multiple World Cup events. She is the Oceania and Australian National Olympic Distance Triathlon Champion. Emma represented Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and won the Gold Medal.
