- @TZLNCTV: YouTube videos are not considered reliable, as anyone can upload a video and make a claim. The Decal is also not a reliable source, since the description itself is not enough, and like YouTube, self-published sources are not considered reliable. For the hacking incident, the only way for it to be mentioned here is through either a reliable source, like a news group, or by the developers itself. I believe the game's developers have a blog, which can be accessed from the site itself, and if one of the developers wrote a blog entry about it (a passing mention is not notable), it can be added. - @TZLNCTV: Alright, thanks for providing it. While the blog does mention the eventual shutdown due to "site issues", I doubt it'll be enough to be added to the article, since one who's new to Roblox and reading the page would believe it was just for routine maintenance, when it was much worse; David Baszucki didn't say exactly what the cause was, which - in the case of the videos - was various hackings, it seems, and you can't add in details that the source doesn't provide. For the most part, if you can find another blog post from the developers, or a reliable source (as I said, a news agency, for example), that actually explains what happens, then it might merit inclusion. As I had said, if you can find a reliable source, like a news agency, that discusses the hackings in detail, then it might be considered. Putting Ethnicity in Info Box
Hello you change my edit on RyanHiga. It is strange and unnecessary to have ethnicity or race in info box and common practice not to put it there. This is why no one or very few people have it in Wikipedia. The race is especially not listed for celebs or famous politicans. It only exists in parameter because someone add it to the parameter so it does not make sense to say it should be there just because someone put it there. - @Desipunjab: Why would it be strange and unnecessary? By the latter's sense, the whole infobox is unneeded as all info can be included in the text. We also can't use just the nationality; as it can mean both ethnicity and citizenship, it becomes highly confusing to use it for people of another ethnicity, since (for example), no one would know if Higa was Japanese if they did not read the text, and assumed he was full-blooded American. Now, one could argue about the picture, but not everyone's going to see the picture the same way. As for your argument as to how it's not listed for celebs, considering how KevJumba, Wong Fu Productions have it, that statement becomes slightly invalidated. Politically, {{Infobox officeholder}} doesn't have the 'Ethnicity' parameter, so it doesn't get added. If you have any objections to the parameter, you could always take it to Template talk:Infobox person to see how the community feels about it. ZappaSJSMati 03:24, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
It would not be confusing and people would know he is Japanese because it says he is of Japanese descent in first sentence. And this info can be put in Background section which is the first section. If we put race or ethnicity of Obama or Oprah Winfrey or Mindy Kaling, or of each White American celebrity it would be very strange and even looks racist. For ethnicity, I said no one or very few. And it is true, very few and most people do not have it. And only us color people have it(I am Indian/Brown/South Asians) listed. And "full blooded American" excludes non Whites(East Asian, South Asian, Blacks, Hispanics, Middle East, etc.) from being full Americans. Parameter topic - Yes, good idea. - @Desipunjab: As I had stated, "We also can't use just the nationality; as it can mean both ethnicity and citizenship", so we don't place ethnicity if it is of the majority in a country, like White and American or African-American. In addition, while you had stated that "he is of Japanese descent in first sentence", the infobox is meant to be an alternative to reading the text, so if someone does not read the text, they would not know otherwise. And for my "full-blooded American" statement, I mean that one would think he was "full-blooded American" if only the American nationality was listed, but not the ethnicity. Also, Wikipedia:Other stuff exists, so just because one article does not use the parameter, doesn't mean this one should. Hello. This is my last reply cause we will not agree and I don't have much time lol. But I think people don't put it for other races not just cause they are not White or Black. See we don't put it for important non White or Black, American people like Indian Rajiv Shah, Korean Mark Keam, Hispanic Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian (half middle eastern). It is very rare to put someone's ethnicity or race on info box because it is odd and can look racist. Not all info need to be put in info box like race or sex. It only seems to happen for non important people(YouTube not big celebrity or politican like Rajiv Shah, Mark Keam, etc) they can get away with this. First, we have a Valentine's Day edit-a-thon appropriately named Redondo Loves Wikipedia, which will take place at the Redondo Beach Public Library from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, February 14. Join library staff, the Redondo Beach Historical Society, and others to help improve Wikipedia's coverage of Redondo Beach! Second, we have a Wik-Ed Women editing session on Tuesday, February 17 from 6pm to 10pm at the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive downtown. I edited the Joe Gibbs Racing page for the #18 car as an IP Address after Kyle's injury in the Xfinity race on Saturday, saying it's driven by Kyle Busch/Matt Crafton. - @Gabe015: Usually, we just do it like in the navbox, and list every driver to drive in it for the season, even if they didn't compete in a points race (yet), though I'm not sure if Kyle will race again. What do you think of results tables for minor races/series?
Jeff Gordon is the only driver that has a Sprint Unlimited table to my knowledge. Are these (and the All-Star race, for that matter) notable enough for inclusion? I'm also wondering if there should be results tables for ARCA and K&N results (Beto Monteiro's page has the latter). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bentvfan54321 (talk • contribs)
- @Bentvfan54321: I'm honestly not too sure about exhibition races being added, so I can't really say. Regarding feeder series, The Bushranger and I had a discussion about this last year, but I don't know if any momentum has been made afterward. I think the Mexico/Canadian series are fine, but I can't really say on the Pro Series East/West or the Modifieds. @ZappaOMati:, @Bentvfan54321: I've had another thought about results tables for the other Nascar national series and I think that they are not notable enough. For example the K&N Pro Series West only has season report for 2014 and 2015. I think that if we would add tables of those series to driver that those driver are probably going to be drivers who had a Sprint Cup or a Nationwide career etc, wich makes the feeder series result tables far less notable. I think ARCA is notable enough as it the top series of the Automobile Racing Club of America. What do you guys think? Jahn1234567890 (talk) 16:24, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Jahn1234567890: For a guy like Rico Abreu, I think the lower end series is notable enough. For a guy like Steve Park who raced in Cup, maybe, maybe not; I really don't have a strong argument either way.

- @Jahn1234567890: I'm starting to think this is the basic consensus: For drivers like Abreu, I have no problem including them. For a guy like Chase Elliott, I'd maybe say they are notable enough. But for a guy like Earnhardt, Johnson, Gordon, etc, I'm not really sure we need those.

- Another thing of note, A. J. Allmendinger's open wheel results go as low as the Barber Pro Series. I follow open-wheel racing somewhat closely, but not enough to know how that would compare to NASCAR. - @Bentvfan54321: I feel the same way about the Mexico/Canadian series as I do with the other feeder series. Would be fine to add to local drivers or someone who raced a long time in that series, but not if for instance a Earnhardt, Johnson, Gordon, etc drove a one of in that series. As for the Barber Pro Series, thats a bid harder to say. Open wheel racing has a lot of high level racing. The top series back then would be the Champ Car series and the IRL. Bellow that you would have the Infiniti Pro Series and the Atlantic Championship. I think the Barber Dodge Pro Series would be just below that. So in that way you could say the Barber Dodge Pro Series would be third tier like the Truck series in Nascar. - @Jahn1234567890: I saw your question, and it's relatively simple for me. Scrolling through your talk's history, I noticed that the archive's link, User talk:Jahn1234567890/Archives/1, uses "Archives/1". Looking at other archives and the source for the talk header, I think the correct programming to get the archive number to properly display on the talk header is to use "Archive (number)". So instead of User talk:Jahn1234567890/Archives/1, it should be User talk:Jahn1234567890/Archive 1. Zappa24Mati 23:34, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

In short, there are two minor changes; the year parameter is darkened so the background matches that of the team, chassis, etc. (as is done with the NASCAR tables), and a car number parameter is added. - @Bentvfan54321: I think it looks good. Looking at a few drivers' tables, I also suggest doing what we do with the NASCAR tables and merge the teams/chassis/numbers/engines if they're the same for the following years, instead of repeating it over and over again. For example:

- I see discussion has stalled. @Jahn1234567890: I certainly don't think numbers are that notable in Formula 1, but why not IndyCar? The drivers are often referred to by their numbers, and putting Will Power's #1 in the table would signify that he is the reigning champion, since only the champ can use that number. I've tweaked Zappa's template above further to what I think looks good, and I'll also note that the numbers are listed on the season report pages. I have reverted to the previous image in the Scott Dixon article. It is quite clearly a much better photo than the one I reverted, and it is less than two years old. The one Missvain inserted is particularly unflattering. The article is a BLP, so surely we should not deliberately choose a poor image when we actually have a good one available. This looks more like Matt Yocum to me (though it's early in the morning, so...). Hi Justin, I don't know how to correctly link Dale Jr's accomplishments, but he won the 2003 and 2008 Budweiser Shootout and he also won the 2003,2004,2008 and 2015 Gatorade Duel. He also won the 2012 Sprint Showdown. I don't know how to link these accomplishments correctly,but if you could do that, that would be great!!

Re: Sam Hornish, Jr.
I've sourced and rearranged the information on his career, trimmed the prose, and removed most of the extraneous images. In the amount of time I've started my work on this, I've taken the article from 153,659 bytes to 138,083 bytes. It may not sound like much, but, as muscle weighs more than fat, I've put on a lot of muscle (references, citations) and lost a lot of fat (fancruft, trivia, irrelevancy). I'm still planning on trimming the "Media" section, but I was wondering if you could help me out in any way? If not, that's alright, but I've searched for more information and references for both the "Personal life" and media parts of the article and haven't had much luck. If we can get those in good shape, we may have a GA on our hands. I think the biggest problem with the section has to be the video game subsection: I see no reason for appearances in games (outside of being the cover athlete) to be mentioned. Hey Zappa. Cody Lane has his Wikipedia page and I didn't see his stats for his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He attempted to make his debut at Bristol driving the No. 27 Chevrolet Silverado for Glenden Enterprises and resulted a DNQ. Bristol pics of the Trucks and Mods
I wasn't able to get any driver pics of drivers in the Modified race since they apparently don't do driver intros in that series. I also didn't get much of anything other than a lap 2 wreck (SPOILER) because of the rain.
I was also out of position to take any good pics of driver intros for the Truck race, but I did get some good pics of the front running trucks. Are there any you'd like me to upload today?--Nascar king 11:55, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

I thought you might beat me to it. What a shame. But at the same time, I hope IndyCar can use this as an opportunity to look at the safety of the drivers; between Hinchcliffe's near-fatal crash and Wilson, perhaps a long off-season is just what IndyCar needs. It reminds me of Earnhardt's passing. That was a true tragedy, but NASCAR reacted well after his death and improved the safety of their cars, and their hard work is paying off. Earnhardt remains the last death in NASCAR's top three series. Let's hope Bianchi and Wilson are the last in theirs as well. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 02:19, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

- @Awesomebroboy1: The problem isn't that it has no links or categories: the problem is that it's not notable enough for its own article. It'd be like creating an article for Hendrick engines blowing up at the 2002 EA Sports 500. - @ZappaOMati: Okay, I got the importance issue figured out, but there's still one last problem. The NASCAR project has a separate category for Disambigs and Redirects; for example, Talk:1995 NASCAR Truck Series is under "Redirect-Class". I tried doing this for the Open Wheel project, but, as seen at Talk:Andretti-Green Racing, it stays at "NA-Class". Is this just a bug in the system or is there a difference between the way the two projects are set up that I'm not detecting? Tracking the lucky dog
I had something I wanted to bring up with you and your two other talk page stalkers @Bentvfan54321: and @Ptb1997:...Do y'all think we should keep track of who's getting the lucky dog during the races for individual race reports? My policy has always been to include things that could directly affect the race and/or outcome of the race. Results table headers

- @Nascarking, Bentvfan54321, and Jahn1234567890: The only problem I can see (asides from the tediousness of fixing this) is that it could confuse readers when looking at articles for drivers that have also performed other non-racing feats, like Jerry Glanville, since he has a football record as well as racing, and if we change his "Motorsports career results" header to "Career results" for the sake of consistency, it could confuse some. Whelen all american series
Hello my name is Tom Peters and i just wanted to give you a heads up that a individual keeps replacing the national champions(whelen all american series) name with Jordan Flash Rose. I have done my research on the induvidual and it turns out he is a periscope broadcaster that says he is a Nascar driver and won the national championship. I follow Nascar closley and never heard of this individual. I keep changing the name back to the current Champion.

That's User:CNMcintyre, a classmate of mine, editing anonymously from our school's IP address. He used to contribute a bit under a different name and I tried working with him on some game show projects, but he has become rather disillusioned with the encyclopedia and as of late seems to enjoy the vandalism aspect. I doubt he'll be much of an issue going forward, but if he is, just know that I know the guy behind this IP personally and am (trying to) discuss the matter with him offline.
