FHM was a UK monthly men's lifestyle magazine. It contains features such as the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World.[2] On 17 November 2015, FHM announced on its website that it would be suspending publication.[3]
History
The magazine began publication in 1985 in the UK under the name For Him Magazine[4] and changed its title to FHM in 1994 when Emap Consumer Media bought the magazine, although the full For Him Magazine continues to be printed on the spine of each issue.
Circulation expanded to newsagents as a quarterly by the spring of 1987 and then monthly in 1994. It subsequently dominated the men's market and began to expand internationally, being published in 27 countries including Pakistan and India.[5]
FHM was sold as part of the publishing company sale, from EMAP to Hamburg based company Bauer Media Group in February 2008.
On 17 November 2015, FHM announced their intention to suspend publication alongside that of fellow men's magazine ZOO.[6]
