This video features NYCHA chair and  CEO general manager. This video is imporatnt because it states that the main goal is to peserve public housing and the main objective is to be safe, clean and connected for next GEN and have some meaningful posiive change with the capital ten year plan. Also , although NYCHA is in deep financial distress and there is desperate need for solutions ,NYCHA is changing the way they are funded and the way they interact with each other. As a result this approach will   turn idea into reality. NYCHA is  also finding new ways to partner and use the space and lobby to provide more social services and it is not about kicing people out of their home. Future Gen is also striving for a way to do a better job collecting rent and to be more responsive to customer so that residents can have a better place to work and live. This video also encourages everyone to read the NEXT GEN NYCHA plan and to ask questions.

These charts are graphic representation on how NYCHA responds to repairs and all other maintenance issues. The graghs and charts are important because they show NYCHA’s service level performance for each month and all the work they get done from month to month. The first chart shows on average how many days it takes NYCHA to complete repairs. I think this chart is important because it also allows you to look back at the  the past year to the present. This tells you how NYCHA did each month for the past year. This chart relatively shows that the amount of services that was provided by NYCHA had a negative coreation since as the months go by it takes NYCHA longer to fix repairs. The second graph represent the number of work orders that are open at the end of each month  and the last chart shows the number of new repairs that were placed each month and how many request were closed or cancelled.

NYCHA Recycles [1] is a commitment between NYCHA and Department of Sanitation to achieve the full compliance of city recycling law throughout NYCHA developments by the end of 2016. The plan is to set up recycling bins over designated area in all NYCHA developments. NYCHA is also working with GrowNYC to develop a community engagement strategy with educational activities, workshops and events to promote Recycling. NYCHA Recycles will be launched throughout NYCHA including the Farragut Houses in 2016 throughout all 10 buildings.
