* The simplification and effective use of Grid middleware infrastructure using service oriented architecture. |

* Shielding the Grid middleware complexities with a smart Grid resource management system with the capability of on-demand provision of resources and automatic deployment of software components. |

* Improving Grid resource utilization with optimized Quality of Service parameters and proper capacity planning strategies. |

* Enhancing the on-demand provision quality by providing negotiation-based advance reservation of Grid resources. |

In November 2003, I was awarded Higher Education Commission [http://www.hec.gov.pk (HEC)] [[Pakistan]] fellowship for doctoral studies in Austria. |

Synopsis
My name is Mumtaz Siddiqui () and I am a candidate for PhD in Grid Computing in Institute of Computer Science, University of Innsbruck - Austria since February 2004. I am working in a research group named Distributed and Parallel Systems (DPS) under the supervision of Professor Thomas Fahringer.
For my doctoral thesis I intend to work for:
- The simplification and effective use of Grid middleware infrastructure using service oriented architecture.
- Shielding the Grid middleware complexities with a smart Grid resource management system with the capability of on-demand provision of resources and automatic deployment of software components.
- Improving Grid resource utilization with optimized Quality of Service parameters and proper capacity planning strategies.
- Enhancing the on-demand provision quality by providing negotiation-based advance reservation of Grid resources.
