Dickson Nwakaeme (born 21 April 1986) is a Nigerian footballer. His brother Anthony Nwakaeme also works as Footballer.

Career

FC OPA

KuPS

Nwakaeme played for the Finnish premier division team KuPS from 2009 to 2010. He made a big impact in his first match with KuPS. He helped his team to a 3 – 0 victory over rivals RoPS Rovaniemi as he scored a phenomenal goal and was voted player of the match at Magnum Areena.[1] After KuPS Kuopio's defeat over FC Inter Turku, FC Inter manager Job Dragtsma claimed that Nwakaeme is the best striker he has ever seen in Veikkausliiga.[2]

Aalborg BK (loan)

Nwakaeme was loaned from FC OPA to Aalborg BK from 1 September 2010 to 31 December 2010. He played 9 matches and scored 1 goal, before returning to FC OPA in Finland again.

Song Lam Nghe An F.C.

On April 2012, Nwakaeme signed a five-month contract with Vietnamese League champions Song Lam Nghe An F.C.. He scored on his debut for Song Lam Nghe An, coming off the bench in the second half to score a 93rd minute equalizer against Sai Gon Xuan Thanh in the 14th round of matches in the Super League. The game ended 2–2 and preserved Song Lam Nghe An unbeaten start to the league.[3]

However, Nwakaeme refuses to extent his contract with Song Lam Nghe An F.C. although there was a proposal from Song Lam Nghe An F.C. for the former Finland based player to prolong his stay but he has decided to move on.[4]

Kelantan

On February 2013, Nwakaeme went for a trial with Malaysia Super League team, Kelantan.[5][6][7][8] After two weeks trial, he signed one-year contract with Kelantan.[9] Nwakaeme made his debut playing against Maziya Sports & Recreation Club at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu during 2013 AFC Cup campaign. The debut succeed in attracting viewers attention although unsuccessful score goals. On 13 April, during their 4th match of the AFC Cup Nwakaeme lone goal leads Kelantan to AFC Cup win over SHB Da Nang.[10][11]

Pahang FA

In December 2013, former Kelantan striker Dickson Nwakaeme who was rumoured to have accepted an offer to play in France, had decided to sign for Pahang FA together with Damion Stewart and Zeshan Rehman who had played for Fulham and Queens Park Rangers (QPR), respectively.[12]

The presence of the Nigerian striker, Dickson Nwakaeme Pahang squad for next season will undoubtedly become the ultimate weapon in Super League and Orang Besi will partner with Matias Conti. Record of former Kelantan FA is seen to be the main attraction of Pahang Football Association (PBNP) is keen to secure his services.

On 8 March 2014,Dickson score his first score goal for Pahang FA after score twice against ATM FA and help Pahang FA win the match . On 7 June 2014,Dickson score the winning goal against Felda United F.C. at the 2014 Malaysia FA Cup at Shah Alam Stadium. The goal bring the Malaysia FA Cup to Kuantan after 8 years waiting.On Piala Malaysia 2014,he scores 2 goals against Johor Darul Takzim (JDT).The match has bring Malaysia Cup to Pahang FA after winning the penalty 5–3 after the both team draw in extra time.
