Biography
Andrea Thome is a Chilean and Costa Rican playwright born in Madison, Wisconsin [1][2]. Her mom is from Chile and her dad is from Costa Rica and the United States [3] She considers herself Pan-American and she believes that this permeates into her writing[3]. Being from ‘all of the Americas’ makes her shift and question her ideas of home and language; ideas that she attempts to explore through her work. She says that she experienced an emphasis on words in the form of poems written on walls during her time in Chile[3].
